Ok, ive just got back from the Global Gathering weekender, n omg what a weekend it was!
Anyway, when i first saw Hixxy's name was on the flyer in the Hard Dance arena i was exited but at the same time a little nervous about what kind of a set he was goin to play. As this was not a hardcore event, i half expected him to play his remixes at a slower pace than usual.
How wrong could i have been!
Hixxy played one the best sets ive heard from him this year! People were talkin about it all night. It really was something else, sure we had a few eye rollers in there (his Special D remix for example), but apart from that it was in a class of its own. Storm was bang on form hyping the croud up to.
The best part about whole thing though, was that as soon as Hixxys set ended, everyone left that arena leaving it as half full as it was before.
Is this not one of best things thats happened to hardcore recently? Last night hardcore proved it can compete up there with House and Trance, n wasnt just a side show genre anymore. Maybe next year Global Gathering will consider a HTID tent!

He is not exaggerating at all - I was also there and it was the best set of the day! Everything else seemed slow and dull after that set. I didn't expect that many people in the tent and it was well rockin. Storm was in top form and really got the crowd going. Felt sorry for K90 (the next dj) as the tent really did empty put at the end!
