I was thinking about it and I was wondering if it would be ok to rip the live events like NAHM, UK SHOW, DJ SILVER to put them up so everyone can download them just in case they missed them? Anyone say no to this? If any DJ, or Silver says no to this then I wont do it but I would it would be a cool thing to do. It is really Silver's call if he think it is stealing or such (since it is his site, radio) I wont do it.

I know what you're saying, it sucks when you miss a live show, but it is still theft.

I can see no harm if someone rips a live set and uses is for personal use only.

It does suck, im always missing the live sets but it would certainly upset people if they were put up for download @ a quality worth listening to and with good reason too. We'll just have to be grateful that they are there to listen to at all.

From a pure legal and technical approach no, you can't rip and record NAHM, as I'm sure the same applied for the other shows. There are a lot of rules and regulations we have to follow to make those shows happen, and having them rebroadcast or available publically falls into those restrictions. While of course I want NAHM to be enjoyed by as many people as possible and wish that it wasn't confined to live time, we are obligated to stay within certain boundaries. So if you're going to publically host them, please don't. Thank you.

I can see no harm in someone ripping a live set and sharing that set with hardcore fans that have missed the set. As long as its purely to listen too. Ive got mates to rip sets for me when ive known i was going to miss them due to work etc. Same thing as recording music from the radio to a tape cant see any harm in it.

Alright well since I can see legal reasons for not doing I wont be doing it. When I was writing it with the sense of that they are mixes like mixes on a mix site so everyone can enjoy them for free and so people that work late/don't get up can listen to these great sets. Since Milo said no to it then NAHM would be out of the question and rebroadcasting is under the restrictions they can't do then I don't want to cause Legal trouble with anybody so I guess I have to rush from work to here NAHM and get up early to hear the UK SHOW and DJ SILVER but in the end it is well worth it.

i havent properly read this but i know for a fact that the downloading of shows would get a definate no from silver and the others. however i think it would be a better idea that all three shows can be repeated once only at sometime that same week when they are streamed so that people who have at missed it can still listen. this sounds like better idea than downloading imo.
