I will speak in terms of bonkers albums because everyone knows (or should know) the bonkers series pretty well.

Do you think there is a difference between the older skool happy hardcore and new skool happy hardcore? For example i refuse to accept that, say ,bonkers 1-8 are the same as bonkers 10-14... i consider examples of the tracks of these albums a completely different genre of music.... I generally use the term 'happy hardcore' to describe 1-8 style music and 'Hardcore' to describe 10-14.... Does anyone agree with me, or disagree? Or is this common knowledge and im just making a complete ass of myself?

I see hardcore in years even if i was too young to remember, that is how i see things

1990, 1991 style, very old skool, early days

92, 93, building up to "Happy hardcore and raves started (I thing going mainstream around 93)

94, 95, start of happy hardcore which formed the nucleus of today's syle Breakbeat, techno, speed up voculs, symilar techno used in 92,93 years

96,97 big chang in these to years, Bonkers 1 just Hixxy and Sharkey, breakbeat and very happy style hardcore on both mixes "Bouncing" style breakbeat which is far better than the beats in a lot of new hardcore but by bonkers 3 the "Old skool" rave element was moving on and the techno sound what fast dissapering

98,99 rise of "Club music" hardcore was becoming trancy but techno was still hanging around

00,01 less hardcore and chart remixes, hardcore made to look like a 1990s thing, "everyone goes to clubs no" but hardcore was still going strong with a trancy style and techno became rare

02,03 rise of the modern style hardcore but chart remixes still around

04,05 hardcore is now back in heyday with many styles and so much more comming out

06,07 at they way things are now it looks like hardcore will stille be big in the next few years!

bout 93 i think.

In terms of Bonkers -
Bonkers 1-6 old skool (happy hardcore)
Bonkers 7 - transitional (trance hardcore)
Bonkers 8-14 nu-skool (hardcore)
