depends on some factors:
1) what kinda hardcore we talking here?
2) the weather (weird, I know)
3) my state of mind b4 I start listing
u see, when I'm down and the weather is sorta cloudy and temps are around 15 degrees C, I usually listen to some oldskool gabber like the stuff from around '97. It placates me and calms me down, takes me up into the rythm of the kickdrum and takes me back to the days when life was still less complicated.
On nights when I feel contemplative and a bit down adn the air smells of rain with thunderclouds haning in the sky, I usually play some darkcore and just contemplate certain facts in life whilst breathing in the chill but humid air. It makes me feel at peace in this somber world.
When I feel abslutly loathing everything or am pissed off and the weather is anything but sunny I just blast some speedcore and it allows me to vent some agression. this makes me feel temporarily relieved and sorta gives me a rush (same goes for metal).
Then again, when the weather is nice, the sun is shining and the sky is blue, the birds are singing and the temperature is just warm enough to be pleasant and not too hot, I play some happy hardcore and go sit in the sun or lay down in the grass sometimes and just look at the clouds whilst the oldskool happycore tunes are blasting in my ears. And then I just lay there, stupid smile on my face, happy to be alive at that very moment :)

When i listen to 'Hardcore' it makes me come alive from a disturbed nights sleep.
Its the best tonic u can have well on the same lines as a good cup of tea!
