The media controls people's taste... That's a very sad fact... But we can work against that! I have enlightened a lots of 'sleeping' ravers, who didn't know hardcore before, but now they r true fans!

i was on mtv once on singled out when i 20 (yes i was the guy in the chair with a loada girls to pick, who all incedently were about 15 years old!) anyways when i was sitting there waiting for my turn to go on and make a fool outta myself i asked one of the mtv programme managers who was looking after me why hardcore wasnt given a more prominent place in mtv's depiction of yoof culture (yes i meant to spell it that way!) his reply was.......
'whats hardcore'
i mean come on there meant to have there fingers on the pulse off all the cool hip and happening things that young ppl do and they didnt know what it was, i did laugh a lot!!!!
oh and to top it all off, they ask u b4 u go on, what u like doing etc
i wrote down that i was a 'HARDCORE' raver from brighton blah blah blah, as i was being led out blindfolded thru the masses of screaming birds the announcer went "ian is a raver from brighton...." i was not happy cos what does that mean am i a dnb raver, NO! or a techno/trance raver NO, im hardcore and i was gonna point it out to em when i got my blinfold off but suddenly got serious stage fright cos i had 10 cameras pointing at me...
grrrrrr to mtv.
anyway mtv doesnt even have any music on it now just shows. pah!
