All the things that have made the scene bigger, had nothing to do with filesharing, but hard work from various artists, dj's, promoters etc.

I didn't mean it helped the scene as such, but it helped people who would otherwise not be able to hear hardcore, aware of the sound. I'm sure there are ex downloaders out there who after downloading 'Anabolic Frolic - Eye Opener' or another mislabeled track, really got into the scene and are against downloading as much as the rest of us.

I'm not trying to justify downloading but I think we have enough intelligence not to hurl abuse at anyone who does download, instead we should explain to them why it is wrong and show them other ways they can get their music, leagally.

Downloading a full back cat from a small label is NOT comparable to a kid downloading Anabolic Frolic "Eye Opener". Its like comparing shop lifting and a bank robbery.

Good point, I guess I got a bit carried away. But you do understand the point I was trying to make right?

In a diffrent situation, i would understand that the insults and harshness would be going beyond the line, yes.

I hate the whole filesharing "industry", it kills the demand, it kills the innovations for better access to new artists, genres etc. It kills small labels. The DL'ers see it that their not doing any harm, i mean there will always be someone that, in a way, "pays" for their records, right? The way i see it:
You go to a mint. No cameras, no staff, nobody inside. Your short on cash and you need food. You just need to press one 100$ bill for your needs. No one would know, no real hurt done. Just one little piece of paper lost ...but would you only press one? I mean the economy is fragile, but not that fragile. You could press like one hundred 100$ bills, no one would probably even notice. How about everyone would follow you and do the same. The country would be in a serious depression in a matter of days, people would lose their jobs, the whole country would fall and people would die in hunger.

Now, you turn it to the filesharing thing, the end results would be artists (from all areas of music industry) losing their jobs, the scene would fall and people would be left with no music. Only music left would be the ones in commercials. Witch isnt so far away, i mean ringtones are selling more then CD singles. You hear more commercials on MTV then actual music etc.

My point is, that your "testing new artist or genres" thing would probably be great, if people werent so ****ing greedy. You werent, but can you say the same for the rest?
