Lately I've been getting very heavily into Acid Hardcore, particularly Dougal & Gammer, but the only tracks I have are ones I've gathered here and there from compilations such as Bonkers. So I need a suggestion... what's a good compilation that is purely/almost purely Acid Hardcore? And have Dougal & Gammer released any CDs that are just their mixes?

Yeah, I finally got Bonkers 14 the other day. Fantastic, especially Dougal's mix (though I thought Sharkey's sucked... but that's off topic), but it's just not enough for me! Need to get my hands on some more of their stuff, and just Acid Hardcore in general, but I'm unsure where to start looking.

Hmm... that's a hard one. Well, it's very hard, deep bass, and the synths used are very coarse and... well, acidic. Hehe. Maybe I'm classifying it wrong, but I've been told it's Acid Hardcore. Some examples of songs that I think are very Acid, all by Dougal & Gammer, are: Crack Whore, Xtreme, 3000 Cycles, Know the Score, Ready for War etc.

i think you would find it hard to get hold of a complete set that only contains that sort of choon, the ones you mentioned are nearly all the d&g choons that contain that sort of sound.

ryg0r has the best plan, get the choons sent to your doorstep, mix em up how u want and jobs a good un.

you could check some tape packs look out for mark smith, scott brown, robbie long & devistate. might not be acid but its as close as i think ur gona get.

I dont think WOW10 will have anything like Xtreme.

The RFU/JAL posse are more melodic than just plain weird.

The closest thing I've found is some hard trance from Uberdruck.

A friend of mine who DJs used the word Acid to describe the types of synths and what not used by Gammer. So when he referred to that style he would just call it Acid Hardcore... *shrugs* Just a term, don't know if he meant it as a specific genre.

I'd love to do that, but I unfortunately don't have decks, and neither do I know how to play yet. Have to get around to doing that when I'm not so busy, but in the meantime I was just hoping to find something already made to suit my tastes.

Oh how I'd love to... the only thing holding me back is not having the money. But my friend who DJs offered to teach me, so I'll have to take him up on it. Hopefully I'll be playing tunes as good as Gammer myself soon... well... I can dream! Hehehe.
