Hardcore is becoming the same. Most of the records I bought and all the hardcore I here is the alot alike. Iam turning to more hard dance as of recently. The new RFU cd coming out I hope will have the really good lesser known producers on it and rekindle the flame of hardcore and get some fresh air in the studios and make something completely different sounding tracks. Until I hear some really good tracks Ill stock up on my hardcore from a couple years ago and hard dance.

Artists these days have less room for experimentation, if the record does not make its money back the next record does not come out.... Vinyl sales are nothing now, download sales are hardly anything.... Ask any producer or label owner... The CD's might be selling and the people going to the events but there will nothing to play shortly if no records come out. Ever wonder why Hixxy has not released in a long while? This is reason why there is a massive wait from CD to vinyl as well...

We all know that vinyl sales are small. That is not an excuse for releasing stuff that all sounds the same. This is also not an excuse for not releasing stuff. Raver Baby is probably the biggest label in Hardcore (excluding gabber) do you see next gen, Evo, nu-energy not releasing stuff.
KFA releases are at times very different to the norm. With 6 releases and a cd under their belt so far this year. This proves you can be different.

What the hell happened to my post?!
As an artist, I want to experiement more. I want to be more than just a producer who works off a template, cookie-cuttering everything I do.
I want to be free to make anything I want, jazz, trance, hiphop, freeform, gabber and vocal nonsense.
I think the hardcore scene should embrace the internet in terms of mass marketing. We can't say that hardcore sucks, we know it rules. We know that when we play it to our friends, they love it too (at least mine). It just needs more exposure to generate more sales, so artists get paid so they can make more music....
