Bulby_G - Happy Trancecore
http://www.acidplanet.com/artist.asp?PID=617233&T=6471 Something i've been working on its a fairly short simple track intro needs changing a bit but I just thought i'd post it and see what people thought. I'm thinking of putting lyrics into it but don't know if its worth it as it doesn't fit into a certain sub genre so people may not like it well tell me what you think anyways.

yeah i agree, that part when it slows down and theres the slight piano, you could work in some hectic vocals in there. Some of the track gives me a feeling of hardcore and some of the track gives me a feeling of old skool happy hardcore. Try and stick with one theme the whole way through, and personally ima fan of heavy bass so id recommend a heftier kick... something with a little ooft ooft... yknow wat i mean? nice track but, had me bouncing brudda

I go along with what's already been said, plus,
the Bassline has it's own route, at last, trouble is in one or two places it doesn't quite work,
erm.... doesn't harmonise.
Also the main riff flatters to deceive. I was expecting it to change and become uplifting
but it doesn't.
The overall production is cool though.

Cheers for the comments people :) will see what I can do.
Ionosphere about the bass im always struggling with this as you know and I tend to find myself following the lead otherwise this happens, is there any rules of what notes sound right with what notes listed anywhere that I could check out or is it not that simple?

If you understand 'Chord Structure' then it should be straight forward but if not then it's just trial and error.
Imagine what bass note would fit, harmonise or just feel right, then find it and use it.
That's the best I can do to explain it mate.

everything with creating music is trial and error... you just gotta keep searching until you find something that you think sounds good, and generally if you honestly think it sounds good, then most people will agree...to a certain point. Until you gain experience creating music then it will definately be trial and error, but youll find the more and mroe times you trial the more experience youll gain and the less error youll have. Its all about practice
