The ghost and vampire tour that I did was great. It was about 2 and a half hours with several stops for beer along the way.

Looks like New Orlenas got smacked down!

Its a shame that while they get hurricanes (and flooding) we are stuck in a drought...

Stupid over population.... Yes, I think Australia is over populated... We might have plenty of space, but we dont have the resources to cope with the people...

Anyway, I do feel quite sorry for New Orleans, and they did get smacked down pretty hard.

Feel sorry for these people, but you have to expect this to happen for a city that is below sea level.

I couldn't even try to imagine what thee people are going through. It's a complete nightmare and also if you were told to evacuate, why are you still there???? I was watching some of this on the news and I thinks it's sad how some ppl carry around their loved ones that have died. This Hurricane is has done a lot of damage, let alone we sit here feeling sorry and there's possibly nothing anyone can do, besides donate money. :(

some people couldn't evacuate...I watched a helicopter evac of an old man who was diabetic and had a heart condition, poor guy looked like the harness was too heavy for him.

I wondered how many of the people who didn't leave didn't have cars.

there are lots of people looting, which is what I would probably be doing if I was down there...sticking it to walmart =P

Many people in that area are living in extreme poverty, and just did not have the means to leave the city.

Or they didn't want to lose everything that they had in the world. but some of them paid the ultimate price.

Its is a vert terrible tradgey.

I get the feeling that the world is groaning and trying to get rid of the human species/virus (see The Matrix).

Why does it seem like natural disasters are on the increase? More famine and drought.... Hurricanes, tsunamis, earthquakes....

We're getting pwn3d.

personally I'm amazed the continents have stayed pretty much the same for this long.

we initially started from a large lump of land and were tore apart via changes in the earth.

the increase in hurricanes can be blamed on global warming though. with the temperature of the oceans on an increase due to the ozone depleting, the conditions are just right for a low pressure area to start.

Apparently people are being murdered and raped as well though, there's no excuse for that kind of behaviour under any circumstances. Why do humans often turn in barbarians during disasters? You'd except it to being people closer together.

I fear for human kind. Once something goes out of wack, everyone is just overdrive selfish and only care about themselves. Oh yeah, with nothing like this happening, they say what they want to make themselves look like a good person (how they care and help out those in need), but when something happens, they have a "dog eat dog" mindset. It really, really sickens me.

I don't think I'll post anymore in this topic as I'm completely disgusted by the actions I've seen on the news and read. All I can say is, how can people be so selfish when they should be thankful they are alive!
