Judging by jdubs original post, he's complaining about the lack of originalty of sounds.
What the hell does analog have anything to do with it? I'd argue that with digital synths you can make even more bizaare sounds than old analogue synths. And quicker too.
You obviously have not heard some proper absynth action. That thing can give you really original sounds. Also some of the spectrasonics stuff is also quite awesome.
Instead of trying to chime in on the analogue vs digital debate (which has nothing to do with originality), why not complain about preset browsers? Its people's thinking thats gone soft, not the synths and definately not the computers.
Computers are a side issue. If not an issue at all. I think its easier to create original sounds with 14 maelstroms "slapped together" in a combinator than standing over any other synth.
It was a good attempt though, but quite irrelevant.

I wasn't trying to start a debate, the way he stated it had me thinking he thought analogue could be made through a computer =P
as far as originality goes, that's why I like programs like reason. they don't give you nearly as many options as say something like fl which in turn makes you actually have to use your head to try and do something with it.
fl is too overwhelming, I grew up with trackers and learned to do a lot with very little.

ok rygor, you apparently misunderstood the fact that i was trying to suggest
incorporating analog or real audio with the easy little click and drag programs
that it seems most people use now. LIKE I SAID IN MY FIRST POST "DONT
BE SO CRITICAL". Everybody seems to think that everyone else is wrong
so im done with this forum................

wtf, quiter =P
not everyone else thought you were wrong, or thought that everyone else is wrong. ideas are often hard to explain as seen here as people evidently had several different ideas of what you were trying to convey

no direction to you brian k, but it seems that people in this site want to
come down other people just for posting a suggestion. have you noticed
some of the other posts aside from this one, cause this one is quite tame
compared to others and of all people a "verified artist" as i guess there called trying to do so is sad

Dude, you're not making any sense. For being 25 years old (like it says in your profile) you would think that your posts would have some sort of basic grammar.
What on earth are you trying to say?
"YOU CAN ALWAYS TAKE REAL AUDIO SOUNDS AND RECORD
THEM TO A CASSETTE TAPE AND DOWNLOAD THEM INTO THE PROGRAM" - do you mean sampling from the real world?
"incorporating analog or real audio with the easy little click and drag programs
that it seems most people use now." - are you saying more people should be original and sample real world sounds?
I'm a verified artist because I have had releases. On both vinyl and CD, but that remains irreleveant to the point at hand.
I want to try and understand you, but you're not making sense.
As for sad:

Thats very sad. Please think of the kittens!!!
