Hey there, don't talk sh*t on yuppies...............I AM ONE! and proud to be! sure i buy overpriced clothes from banna republic, drink Perrie and get called a metrosexual but I dont care call me what you will, I get more women combined then all who talk sh*t on me

I work my ass off four 8-hour shifts a week just to get me through uni, where I'm doing an Honours degree in Computing Science, just so I don't have to wake up in the morning every day when I'm 22-65 thinking how much I hate my job and my life, which is what happens to nearly 70% of the Britsih population. I'm looking forward to early retirement, and letting someone else earn my money for me.
I gotta disagree about working hard getting you anywhere you want though. If you're say, shy and withdrawn and not the most pleasant on the eye, you will not get to the same position in life as someone who looks sharp and is charismatic. There are always boundaries and limitations in life.

On the subject though i say if u have had a good education and get the grades you deserve then whats wrong with getting a well paid job?
I hope my children do well at school and get the grades they have earned and go on to do jobs they are interested in and not fobbed of with in the job centre. They dont half have some crap on offer in there.
Remember the old Y.T.S(youth training) schemes we had on offer back in 90's?
doing a 9-5 job for example 5 days a week for a miserly £27.50 which went up to around £36 when you were 17years old talk about slave labour.

I guess it all comes down to choice. I can pretty much follow any career I like with an Engineering Degree...... I could even work "in the construction trade" if I wished...... however having qualifications opens up other avenues to me that are not open to others.
I want to go into academic research, for which I need the qualifications I have/am working for. Yes, I could earn loads more working in industry with my qualifications, but research is what I want to do, and I'm prepared to put up with the bobbins salary to do that because I'll be happy.
And despite the fact that in approx 9 months time (I hope) I'll be Dr. Underloop, I still work behind a bar for £5 an hour, because I enjoy it. Go figure.
I've gone slightly off the original topic there, but what the hey lol

I'm still going to avoid having them as freinds.
There, Too Rich, Too Soon, Too Young.
A 21yr old shouldn't be bogged down with a beuracratic, high mattenance,
Obscenly well paid job.
A 21 yr old should concentrate a hell of alot more on making freinds, getting laid, driving fast, ignoring traffice lights, listening to LOUD music while pissed.

Well I like all of that, give me an outrgeous deadline for a report and I will get it too you, and inreturn I get paid very well for that, Before I got my paid internship, I didnt want a high stress job, but now that i have one, I could not imagine going back to a slow, low paid carrer.
