Just starting this topic to discuss that old compilations like Bonkers are starting to lose quality putting more and more remixes of old tracks on them, while there are a lot brand new compilations with new producers, who make some fresh and really good tunes. What do you think?

Ummm.

100,000 or so people looking to buy Clubland, not an album full of up-and-comers and "proper" hardcore. Shame.

Even if we did boycott the big albums, would they even notice? no.

AATW & Resist have found a formula that works with Clubland and Bonkers and they will stick with it until the money runs out.....

Agreed on this one, the good old compilations have nearly the same stuff on them from the same artists... while HC Heaven or HC Tunez 3 has so many "newcomers" with extreme talent!
I don't diss the Bonkers series though, they still has their magic :)

The first Bonkers is probably the most surpreme hardcore compliation ever. Why? Lots of personal reasons, but mainly because it had a variety of tracks that all sounded unique, that came from a range of artists from a variety of different labels.

And as for the Bonkers of today? Go figure.

This is what happens when all the DJ's who mix the big compilations are producers themselves.

I wonder what a Hardcore CD mixed by Kutski would be like...

^^^ Mind blowing.

Dunno if you can still get it, but check the CLSM shop for the CLSM Kutski promo CD - that's shit hot!

www.clsm.net - you might have to keep going back to that page because it's erm.... random.
