Hi everyone, just a quick note to let you know we've started a new hardcore section on www.mixalbum.com with the entire Quosh Records catalogue. It's the site where you can choose the tracks and our auto-dj system mixes them, so you get your own personal mix!
It does take some believing, but seriously the mixing is pretty amazing! you can hear live mixes for free using the Demo mixer (mixing hardcore with other genres isnt recommended - its fun!, but not recommended!)
We want to get loads more labels on the site. if you want to see specific tracks/labels or just got any feedback let me know. Thats it really! enjoy!!!
cheers
ian

Interesting idea can't see you you automated system would know how to mix (WELL) though as it surely requires the ability to think? If the mixes are good (havn't listened yet) then I recon you got some illegal immigrants mixing away for under minimum wage somewhere.
There is a victim in all this though, if this technology is as good as you say it is then sometime in the future people may stop signing dj's to mix cd's which would be a damn shame IMO.

thanks Yaddam, nice Llama! Yes the immigrants are on the grey-import Soundlab belt drives as we speak.. "Halam!, you're not getting you're bread till i hear those beats in time Dam it!!".
good point about the signing of DJs drying up because of it, but this is more geared towards people who want specific tracks, or want to make up their own, whereas you always know if you get a mix done by a known DJ then its going to be a selection based on what s/he plays. i guess the DJ mixed compilation will still appeal more to people who arent sure which tracks are which etc but have heard of the DJ?

Heh ;)
Some good points, I guess there is room for both DJ and Robo/Sweatshop DJ to coexist. On a different note I think the more different ways legal downloads can be pushed the better so it's definately a great idea from that point of view.
