So here's the situation:
As U can C, I'm from Hungary. What's the situation here in electronic music? We flow with the global trend: minimaltechno, progressive house, funkhouse and all that commerce shit coming from the tv, radio... Except for our small raver community noone listens to qualitiy hhc/hc music. If we mention happy hardcore or hardcore to someone, they associate for the years '94-'95 and bands like Scooter, Dune, Blossom, RMB, Charly Lownoise and Menthal Theo, Marusha, etc, and they say that these days have passed, hhc/hc doesn't exist anymore. Furthermore they say that cheesy tunes are moldy, just because minimal is the trend nowadays. They know nothing about UK hardcore. I try to promote it on the internet by persuading people one by one, but it's a slow process. This style would deserve much more than remaining a small underground style here! It should be a large undeground style! I say, people would listen to hhc/hc if they would know about it, becuse there's always a demand for tuneful and bouncy electronic music.
So what do u suggest? What should we do to raise the reputation of hhc/hc here?

the situation is similar over here where I am(Colombia).I've been trying to make scene for years but have come to the conclusion that most people who are already hardcore into something arent gonna change their tastes over night.in fact don't expect them to ever do so.I say just keep working what you've got.with the crew you've got.make tunes.improve the quality.
this is were any scene shines imo.

try and get local record shops to stock it
There was one in town and I kept going in every week and asking and asking
personally I found requesting hardcore on forums is a nono, never ends up working and they view u as a nagger, plus local booked dj's cant stand ppl looking more passionate then them

it depends what you show them i guess ...if they hear hixxy, breeze & styles they just think its trance and feel comfortable listening to it...but if u show more extreme stuff like brisk, ham, vagabond, ufo, freeform stuff, gabber most people just go away and dont wanna hear it ...most people cant hadle cheesey and extrme music .....well thats how I have seen it

i found a way around that :) while i live in a quiet community it doesnt take much. just a couple 500 watt speakers and a new 8' pioneer woofer. But i think the ultimate way to fix that is go bigger. go loud enough as to bring down their house!

Just show them the HHC.com radio.
I really believe if they just give the radio station a listen for a good 30-60 min they can make their own true opinions about hardcore.

heh heh...while i admit that it would be so much easier and more convenient to be able to go into a store and just buy a cd of HHC it would lose some of its value to me i LOVE its underground illusiveness. Thats also what i love about HHC.com radio it has mixes that youll prolly only here once or twice more and only on this radio i love how scarce it is and want it to stay in our little communitty of online and local ravers. Although it would be awesome to be able to trade and discuss mixes, but i can do that here. I find that i just listen to it all the time and carry a cd case full of it and have turned a few people in my time and people like it but most arent willing to buy things offline and have to go through the hassle. For me that part of the thrill of this type of music :)
