I purely think because he has had so many great songs for so many different types of hardcore he deserves all the respect that he gets

can see where you're coming from Jon, but i don't think that makes him overrated. This happens in alot of music scenes, other artists whose skills match that of the well known artists can go relativley unkown. It jsut takes some more people to spread the word about them, which means start workin guys and girls! listen to MORE music!!

I can see where everyones comin from but theres other Dj's that do more and don't get as much praise IMO.
start naming names buddy
oh and keep in mind scott browns career has lasted over 10 years, dozens of labels, hundreds of songs....
who else has done that?
Not that i feel the need to reply to you but here it goes anyway
I don't know about having a career lasting 10 years but here are some DJs that don't get enough praise for the efforts they have put in...
Dougal - Great DJ! Has had loads of great songs!
Sy - The scratch master! Has lots of publicity ill agree but still not enough. He's done mix's on previous Bonkers albums, hardcore heaven and has not disapointed me or anyone i know with his HTID and Raverbaby mixes. Such a great and ORIGINAL guy.
Breeze - Another great example! Lots of quality tunes.
And Hixxy!!!
And to venture a few more Kev Energy, Sharky, Weaver, Brisk, Seduction, unknown, Impact and resist.
Not having a go at Scott Brown, but my posertive views on his work have dropped latley. But it always seams like the same stuff all the time. But all i hear around here is SB this andSB that. And IMO it's not fair.
But then again, mabye its different everywhere else, it could just be around here that SB is the only god.

I think bouncy techno's the best music for raving so definitely dont think he's over rated, been at the top since the start of that plus the amount of gabba cant say he hasnt earned it.
A lot of people have kinda mimiced his formula recently and must admit i've been quite bored of it, not just the uk producers a lotta makina sounds like evo clones.
he's highly rated all over europe at a lot bigger events than any other brittish hardcore dj, but i'd say definitely deserved it.

i don't think i have liked a track scott brown has released in the 18 months, and i was repulsed by his recent Hardcore Disco effort. Saying that though i don't think he is over-rated, i dont know how but some people like that stuff. I listened to motly scott brown stuff when first getting in hardcore in 2002, and when you look at his releases back then its not hard to see why. E-plus 1-10 are all stormers. Elysium, neckbreaker, definition of, gang bang society, na na na, commence, dehumanise, prince of darkness, synthetic dreams, this is hardcore, fly with you and do it like they do. Its not hard to see why scott brown has the status he does today with releases like that in a short space if time. I just don't think anything he produces nowdays comes anywhere that
