basically i dont like it at all. accually i will go as far as to say worst new release.
they say its longer better faster and harder. yet its not fast at all and is not better.
yea its real slow which was very dissapointing. robbie longs mix was super slow and was just hard. it was bad.
dj seductions mix was the best and i dont really like that style. it was accually not bad.
almost all the tracks suck.

icex thought you were a freeform man, why are you buying a commericial compilation, they will have very little freeform at all. the original HN had only a few songs on robbie long's cd that were freeform.

i dont think that hardcore is going down pan at all!!!
i mean look at Sy's mix on hardcore heaven 2, its a stormer!!!. There are some excellent upcomming releases as well and there are some awesome tracks comming out at the moment, esp from Dougal & Gammer. I think people put too much emphasis on if a cd is good or bad, i think its the individual tracks that count. Like the UFO tracks on hardcore reunited are Excellent!, but the cd isnt that great. I just got it for the two UFO tracks, appreciate the individual tracks ppl!!.
but about hardcore nation 2 overall the whole mix is not that good, a few good tracks but nothing really exclusive that rocks.

i agree to a certain extent, the hardcore at the forefront of the scene is but theres loadsa smaller artists producing quality
i believe lost soul has said it aswell as anyone possibly can
'I think within the actual scene, there is a wide range of sounds and styles within hardcore. However, I don’t feel enough diversity is actually showcased at big events (also in the case of cds). The nearest you come to diversity at a large event is maybe one or two freeform sets. The people who are booked to do something a little different naturally feel compelled to play quite a safe, happy set, lest they completely kill the dancefloor. Because they will kill the dancefloor, because most ravers who only go to big events very rarely hear anything other than happy.
If we compare this to the hardcore scene in Holland things are very different. Even the “cheesy” DJs play the odd terror tune, or something a bit different. You get speedcore sets chucked in, and yes half the people stop dancing, but the thing is people very rarely get to like something like speedcore straight away. I didn’t even like nu-style the first time I heard it, but now I love it. A lot of people might stop dancing when something different to what they like comes on, but these events still often pull over 20,000 people.
What I think the big events need to realise is that while booking an obvious line up of all anthem-playing DJs might be the safest thing to do in the short term, it won’t be long before people get bored again and leave as quickly as they came. People aren’t going to forfeit an event just because a couple more sets are handed to people who play different stuff, and people aren’t going to hate a DJ because he played a couple of tunes that are different from what he normally plays. But ultimately some people will like what they hear, and stay in hardcore for longer.'
i have to agree, all the huge labels (evo, quosh, raver baby etc) are producing hardcore for a living and due to this are only producing stuff the sells and playing it safe, this stops innovation and diversity and stops the music moving forward making the scene stagnant as everything sounds the same

I thought it was a great compilation, people are always moaning actual happy hardcore isn't really made anymore and there are loads of tracks on there I would class as proper happy hardcore, I'm likin' the Stu Allan sound it reminds of tunes from the good ol' days!

It's not that bad of a complilation compared to the last Hardcore nation and the last bonkers.
Fair enough has got some it has got pure dung on it ( most notably that superman track) but it also has some wicked tunes by up and comings like nu foundation, all in all im happywith my purchase.

Yeah I thought robbie long's mix was bang on, particularly the stuff by dj ham, and nice to see that breaky version of musik make a reappearance.
