^^^ Perfect example of why you need to goto more parties.
There is a time and place for good MC's and you really need to hear them at a party to understand what is about.
pishposh. I've had a good experience from a various range of promoters here in sydney. From teeny tiny Happy Snax to the last two Godspeeds and lots of events in between. My opinion hasn't changed. I dont like MCs. I pay my money (yes I dont get VIP) to listen to the djs and the music they play. Its unfortunate to hear some monkey yabbering all over the song. They dont hype you up, thats what the build-up in the song is supposed to do.

i totally agree but mcs can be great and add rhythm to a mix not in that way but for example ufo&mcmarley - connections excellent tune it wouldn't be without the mc.

I love MC'ing and MC's, they add a whole new dimension to a set in my opinion, there is much more atmosphere, which is why i prefer live recordings to studio mixed CD's :)
