I use Solidworks at work, best CAD software you can get in my opinion, the 2006 version has some really cool new features. Only draw back is it's damn expensive, it's about £1000 per year for full subscription support, but that includes free upgrades and service packs.
In my profession the only software to use is AutoCad. It has to be the same as everyone else has, otherwise all the drawings are useless and its pretty much the best in 2D drawing.
We used to have Autocad but Solidworks seems to the industry standard now, everyone wants 3D models to play with.
