Totally amazed that it won
I'm not. Something Hixxy hinted at suggested that it was either gonna be this or "Getting Better", so I partly think it is fixed anyhow.

Tho I didn't vote this as my track of the year I do like this track so what does that make my mentality?

how can you not expect raver baby?
the votes from people who dont adore raverbaby are split among nu energy (and its multiple labels), KFA, NG/BB, Evolution (maybe?), or even Bit/Xque and a bunch more

Huh? How the hell does Raverbaby win every single year? It's a known fact that they release less records than any other big label (Evolution, Next Generation, Essential Platinum). What merits their award? This still boggles my mind..

Who voted for them? It boggles the mind!
have you ever been to slammin mate? Crowd love raverbaby definitely the most popular label and dj's at there events.
Remeber a lotta folks that attend big raves are quite young and are mainly really battered with all there mates, raverbaby's euphoric and easy for folks to get into with sing a long anthems plus the lassies love them.
Not my favourite style at all but i no exactly who voted for them, the same folks who were at rave last night. I've no problem with them winnin cos bein honest i think they are the most popular.

I thought to merit this kind of award year after year would entail good quality releases, that are actually released.

It's done on votes though and jus cos someone merits to win doesnt mean it's gonna happen. Everybody who's attended slammin events and filled in ticket stub in last few years (1000's) got a votin slip through the door with details of how to vote etc + been advertised on internet where another loada people will have voted. At slammin i think the sets that most people seem to be into and tapes most people play are the raverbaby one's, the fact they never release anythin really annoys dj's but tapepacks are a big part of rave scene here aswell as jus dj's.
Wouldnt say i particularly like or hate raverbaby think they play some alrite tunes but i prefer my hardcore tougher, far from my favourite but i 100% no they'll have got more votes than any other label.

I agree to a certain extend, but one would think that the "Best record label of 2005" would have released a respectable amount of records.
I wouldn't be complaining if Next Gen or Evolution won. Its just a shame that RaverBaby haven't released more records but take home the prize holding their heads up high as if they did.
While Re-Con is good, I would have liked to have seen Vagabond take best up and comer.
