Congrats silver :) couldn't really hear your acceptance speech though.

I completely agree with what Baldo has said, so many ravers are into the raver baby sound and this is why they have won. Personally I voted for warped science but I have no problem with raver baby winning as I know they are a popular label and expected them to win TBH.

*EDIT*

There is nothing wrong with slide away, its not my "tune of the year" but it's ok.

I wouldn't be complaining if Next Gen or Evolution won. Its just a shame that RaverBaby haven't released more records but take home the prize holding their heads up high as if they did.

you forget though sam, most of the people that go are the 'casual' ravers. they known little about the music and the 'raver baby' sound is the most commericial and easy to push as it where as it isn't fast, hard or anything like but euphoric. most of these people won't know what records have been released on vinyl and stuff. i'm sure if they heard something like euphony - let me go they would love it but wouldn't know who the hell made it or what label it is on

it is the same in all music, it is the person at the forefront of the scene, the most recognisable that will win, not necerssarily the best

whenever nelly drops a new album it is guaranteed to go multi-platinum. is he better than talib kweli who even though has been rapping and releasing albums for 7-8 years and i don't think has even gone silver? no it is just if you asked the fanbase of nelly most would never have even heard of the guy

I would have said best producer or best new producer (if there was an award)
Which imo he is the best of the people who may have had a chance

They all love and vote for RaverBaby because they produce more commercial sounding Hardcore, if we can call it Hardcore. As I've said before it's just attracting wispy Top of the Pops mungers. I wish RaverBaby would just end its pitful shit, and let the real lovers who like Hardcore fast and banging get on with it, and all the Clubbers can go back to their Gatecrasher and scream for your overrated Tiesto.

i wasnt really diggin mosta hardcore gettin played but resta crowd obviously were, thats why i ended up in hardstyle most of the night and wish i checked out old school from what i've heard now aswell. The rave scene has kinda split into two ways anyway with main room type stuff then gabba/techno room crew. I like a lotta both so do quite a few people but there's plenty hard and bangin ravers like us aswell.

Nah, never been, it's just pissing me off how RaverBaby seem to be dominating this "scene" at the moment with their Top of the Pops sounds.

Congrats Silver and the HHC.com crew! Well deserved!

I'm not disapointed at any of the results in the winners list.

BTW love B.C's avitar, hillarious!
