I dont know that much, but id say:
DONT buy a motherboard with AGP graphicscard slot, buy one with a PCI-E, PCI-E graphics cards should be almoust as cheap now, and AGP is slowly fading away.
DONT buy 60Gb HD (actually i dont think they make below 80 anymore), buy at least 120Gb. You'll get more for your money. Also make sure the speed is 7200rpm.
As for case, i HIGHLY recommend Nexus Breeze. Built my mother a computer and used that as the case. From the factory built cases that is pretty much as quiet as it can be. Has got excelent reviews, and the 350W one should be pretty cheap. Though its a bit big.
bulby_g, its fine, ive built many computers never had problems. Just dont use clothes that create a lot of static electricity. Though this is a bit too extreme :p

a nvidia ge force fx 5500 (top of the rang) graphics card with a 256 mb ram
an intel pentium celeron processor 3.00 ghz
85gb hard drive
dvd rw
sweet 5.1 surround speakers but i had to get a shitty old dell moniter cause it came just over my buget with the moniter and it's the processor and graphcs card n that am bothered about.

but it's a 256 graphics card and most graphics cards like nvidia ge force series are 128 so that make the fx series top range.

http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/products/index.html?action=c2hvd19wcm9kdWN0X292ZXJ2aWV3&product_uid=92419 That is top of the range, powerfulest chip on the market and the 256mb dont mean nothing. The FX5500 couldn't run Doom 3 on medium settings. It was top of the range a few years ago but today it cant run most of the latest games on medium settings.

why SCSI? it 2 expensive, SATA HD is faster....
if you want the best graphic card get wildcat2 but its just about 12k-15K for it LOL
get a maxtor or a Seagate and get a motherboard there got RAID SATA and then buy 2x120-250GB HD that will get you going
