is there an alternative..or a media player codeck...something that isnt 32mb....i just want it for a manga clip so i can enter a compotition to do the sound effects/soundtrack.

ps...if embdies interested in the clip/episode/movie wotever it is ill be happy to post (ive checked and its legal) ...noticed a few folks on here like there school girl/sailor costumed innocent japanese ninja robot killing...bla bla...you get the idea.

Im not impressed by alternative or divx
they both stopped supporting 98 a few years ago, meaning that new video files in avi are unplayable :(
since of this, the old computer used by my parents cant play tv shows from the net :(

It's a good format for movie trailers and such, as most people don't have codec packs on their computers, and you don't want a shitty quality video for a movie trailer, it's better to just wait to download it.

But its exactly the same really.
Instead of getting some strange codec pack from a random site, you have to get the "quicktime codec" from the apple website.
Its really not that much better, I mean, how many DVD-rips or TV-eps that people download are in Quicktime? The people that do these sorts of things know their codecs, they know how to produce a great quality vid for a relatively small size.
I'm not encouraging piracy, just using it as an example.
