I post on these boards fairly infrequently but I do browse through the topics on a daily basis. Lately I've just been bothered by some of this site's member's attitudes to an extent to which I must post this. If you don't like reading long, (hopefully) grammatically correct paragraphs, just skip to the last part.
I love hardcore in every aspect, from Japan to Spain, from Breeze and Styles to Art of Fighters theres a style to fit most of my moods. Because of my love, it pains me to see every goddamn topic clogged with the same crap (you know what I'm talking about). You might say "you don't have to read what I type" but every topic is threadjacked by the same people about something totally irrelevant to the main topic. I'm here to tell you people who threadjack to STFU, but hopefully in a logical and a more civilized manner. I come here to get news on whats new in hardcore and find out about new producers/DJ's or ones I've never heard of. I really don't care what your opinions on the music I love to listen to are. I respect everyone and their choices in terms of music and you will NEVER find me slagging any music, even if I don't like it. I may make fun of people who listen to a type of music because its "the in" thing to do (emo kids etc.) but that really has nothing to do with the music itself. If they enjoy the music for what it is, I have no qualms about it. Why should you? You like (insert music genre)? Good for you!
Okay, maybe you really don't have a problem with the music itself but more with the people that listen to the it. If you don't want a particular kind of people associated with your kind of music, then maybe you really don't give a shit about the the music itself. You just care about how people judge you when you say "I listen to (insert music genre here)". Let me show you how ridiculous you sound. Lets say George Bush loves to listen to freeform. You hate George Bush. THUS you hate Alek Szahala and you whine like "omg you listens to Alek Szahala! you must be a nation invader and teh son of satan" because you don't want to be associated with him. This is obviously bad logic but I see it happen time and time again. I like breeze and styles work. Does this automatically transform me into some uncool, clubber dude that is ruining the "scene" and doesn't know what "good" music sounds like?
To sum it up, if you don't like the music someone else listens to, STFU. You're just making yourself look like an ass when you patronize everyone for not BEING YOU. Your opinions are not fact and you will not change people's minds by telling them their music is shit. If you don't like like the music someone else listens to, just be quiet and tell people what you DO like listening to. Maybe they'll enjoy it as well and you can share your love for that kind of music together. Be happy. Be open minded. Stop threadjacking every thread in the Hardcore section so you can express your negative opinions because you want to feel cool or something.

Opinions differ from person to person, some people need to realize this and get over themselves.
i listen to Punk/Metal/Trance/ and Hardcore. i personally hate the ultra-happy hardcore, and rap with a passion, but that doesnt mean that every person i see listening to this music i go into huge rants about how that music sucks... They obviously like listening to it so what the hell buisness is it of yours to bug them about it, are you in their house listening to it 24/7? no.
some people need to find something else to do besides waste their time and everybody elses complaining incessantly about everything (i realise im now ranting, but the ends justifys the means :D)

Nah, I know what you're saying dude, and I agree. I love music for what it is and how it makes me feel. Its a shame that other people are so blind.

It had to be said, I take my hat off to you zelchang. Hardcore is what you wanna listen to if no one else likes a particular thing good for them you like what you like. And the topics are posted to express something not for someone to shoot down what you thihnk because they have a different opinion, keep your abuse to yourselfs because we like gabber and you dont tough its all hardcore and if you dont like it tough because there are enough people who do and arent stupid enough to slag your old skool, your cheese, your extreme terror deathcore, we are free to our opinions and we are free to choose our style of hardcore.

zelachang, your right in what you wrote. if you don't like what you hear, dont bitch about it in every single thread. its that type of thing thats gonna make people dedicated to the hardcore scene hate your sorry ass and cause all sorts of negative comments. people should respect the music WE listen to and that respect would be returned no matter what they listen to whether its rock, rap, pop or whatever. simple as

thank you for the responses everyone but you're not really the intended audience if you know what I mean  . I'm still hoping this will change some particular minds about what they post on the boards though.
Oh and thanks Brian K and ryg0r, I'm now scared of Alek cause 1) he uses bobby pins in his hair and 2) he looks like he'd pull those bobby pins out and stab me in the eyes if I pissed him off.
