Hey, was just wondering whos been playing hardcore the longest and who was the first to start really pushing the Happy Hardcore sound. Was talking to some oldskoolers before and they reckon it's probably beteen Seduction, Sy, Luna C (aka Crul-t) and Slipmatt.

Stu Allen (Visa) has been doing stuff for years in and around the rave scene but I don't think much happened before 1989.

I think Sy used to DJ Hip Hop back in the late eighties before he came to Hardcore about that time and as he has been DJing for years he has gained his abilite to scratch like he does, and has brought out some great tracks over the years

I reckon Sy has been playing the longest. Its rumored, that over the years, he's travelled over three quarters of a million miles for Hardcore.

the first hardcore dj's were carl cox, fabio, grooverider, top buzz, and ellis dee.
sy started playing hardcore about a year or so after those!
i thought pete tong played hardcore but i can't find any flyers wiv him on em!!!
top buzz and ellis dee still play hardcore to an extent so that makes them the longest playing dj's!!!
but if u only count main room hardcore it's got to be seduction!!!!!!!!
oh and evel's right sy used to be a soul, hip hop and house dj back in the late eightys, he had a residensy at a bar when he was at nottingham uni!!!
stalker or what!!!!!!!!!!!!!
