It's been forever since I've atualy atteneded a rave I wasn't playing at...
Not because I feel I'm too old or what not... more because I don't like most of the shows that go on here... too much trance/house... not enough hardcore/ragga. And if the show is hardcore/ragga, I'm generaly playing. *shrugs*
I don't think you can ever be too old to do the things that you love.
Cheers
SuperGirl!

I used to be a die hard raver at one point, but work consumes a good part of my life (being that it has to do alot with my career) along with other important factors, you just kinda slowly fall out of it. I know if I had children of my own the last thing on my mind would be going out to a rave and call someone to take care of them when I should be home with them, I'm old school, so, that's my way of thinking.
I don't think there's an exact age when you should stop raving, I just think priorities are more important, but everyone is different.

You shouldn't have to stop just because your a certain age! I know I wont. As for raving after you've had kids, sure your kids are your main priority but it doesn't mean you can't leave them with someone you trust and go out raving. My auntie has the right idea shes 55 and still comes raving and her daughter (whos not really a kid anymore) comes with :)

I don't go to raves that often, with constant work. But I always choose raves that are in 'smaller' venues as I think they have a crazy, more close atmosphere compared to larger clubs (Just my experience).
I think it's good not to make a habit of it because, for me, It's a mental build-up and rush looking forward to going out to do a bit of glo-sticking and some stomping.
Perhaps if there was a larger variety of DJ's at large raves-I'd tend to go there more?

Exactly.
Why continue doing something like raving after it stops being fun? It's not like you're saving 6 year old leukemia patient's lives.
Stop raving when the scene changes and you can mutter to yourself at home about how good it used to be and youngins ruining everything for you.
For me- I'll stop raving when I can't get away with it anymore. Right now I have no responsibility to myself or others, as it is that lull between high school and uni. I can go raving every weekend, and hide in my room for the rest of the week, and it doesn't impact on anybody.
Once I grow up a bit and me being passed out in my own vomit in some middle of nowhere starts to impact negatively on myself and people around me, I'll have to stop.
