how are you meant to proove that every mp3 you have has been bought legally? do you get a certificate with each file? or are your details put on a database so it can be checked?

usually when you order somthing you get a reciept for it in the email usually,
and that is somtimes your only proof.
Ofcoarse most people (me) usually discard that info because face it,
what are the chances you get into a legal battle and you need proof that you bought an mp3 legitly?
only in the rein of queen Dick
yea there have been cases but now theres so much of p2p going around, its impossible to catch them all...
but im sure they'll catch someone every once in a while to try and make an example.

dont get me wrong, i dont file share! i just wundered if there was a system setup to catch people who do.
for a scene as small as the hardcore one, i think it would be pretty easy to set something up like i have mentioned

The mp3 sites should have the rules stated as to what you are allowed to do.

Donno, but if the site doesnt keep record of its customers, and the mp3 isnt tagged in a way that makes it unique. Dont know if there really is any way to spot legal ones. But they are always bought online, so for me e.g. it would show on my creditcard payments that i have paid for X amount of tracks, i think.
In here its pretty crappy, cause if i buy legally mp3's, i couldnt play them in public places, cause if i transferred them to another media (e.g. CD-R) i would have to licence that CD-R to be able to play it. If going by the law.

Well scott browns evo store has digital signitures in them
meaning he can tell who spread the mp3, not many other sites and labels do this...well publicly known that is
