thats what i thought too. Im also not phased by the amount of Dougal and/or Gammer songs on it either.... Its actually kind of what i expect... and exactly what id do in that situation.

I'm a noob in the whole hardcore scene, I'm a simply consumer who doesn't keep up to date with what's going on in the community.

However, from what I can tell it seems like we've hit a dry patch in hardcore vocal trance. I think a lot of people were expecting more of this on bonkers 15 but it just wasn't going to happen. Everybody I've spoken to has said their fav bonkers CD was Dougal's CD on bonkers 13 and I totally agree. I'm a massive fan of hardcore vocal trance.

But I gotta agree with you guys, Dougal & Gammer's CD is really good. It took me a few listens but I absolutely love it, despite much of it being instrumental. Dougal & Gammer have some real originality to them and their instrumental tracks never seem to bore me.

And it's always good when they throw in a good CLSM track ;-)

Welcome to the Site
Some very good points made and i think your right in some respects but then even as far back as bonkers 7 there were plenty of instrumental tracks that were truly rockin'. Yet again i feel this is just personal opinion, I've always found that Dougal mixes are like Marmite - You either love it or hate it.

It was better then I expected but I be;ieve people have a right not to like a mix, as we live in a age were people hearing mixes 24/7 online for free and the bar is really high
I liked it all except the last track

The thing that was wrong with this CD mix was that all aspects of hardcore were played. Hard trancey tunes, freeform, happy hardcore, breakbeat and gabba. Alltogether and a bit of everything in one CD.
Now no-one is going love this CD simply for the fact that everyone has their own stlye. For example, if you liked 'All The Tears I've Cried' then it's possible you wouldn't like 'Let's All Say ****' as much, simply because it is not your style of hardcore! Sure i'm in favour of having a little bit of everything on each CD, but not all clumped into one because then it's quite hard for Dougal & Gammer to win their favourite CD with you!
Just look at the Hixxy & Re-Con mix. If you like all that stuff then you're gonna love it more than the Dougal & Gammer CD simply for the fact that it plays your favourite style of hardcore in that one CD, unlike Dougal and Gammer which of course plays a bit of everything! If you wanted to play some gabba put it on CD 3, it's only logical. If you wanted to play some freeform, put it on CD 2, it's only logical.
I'm generally leaning towards blaming Gammer for this one. My reason? Because although he has much experience and is also may i point out, my second favourite DJ in hardcore, he put all that stuff in Dougal's mix which i criticised. And i'm sure he won't mind a bit of constuctive criticism, he's a brilliant DJ but in my view too young to mix on Bonkers just yet! And he can hardly be called a legend really, he's only been in hardcore for a few years (same with Re-Con really) but i'm getting off topic, and to cut an already long story short: Gammer is a great DJ for all reasons, but for now he should just sit back and watch/learn how other DJ's are getting it right on the Bonkers albums, and if he does this then it is quite possible he could get some brilliant mixes in the future! Just think of it this way, Gammer = Rooney. He is an amazing talent but still has a long way to go and also a little while to mature fully. All the best to the guy though

Nah not yet, even ask him or any other DJ and they will not mention his name when it comes to legends. Still a brilliant brilliant DJ though.
