Thanks for that. That was the type of answer I was looking for. Tbh I think that I might just leave it, I'd rather not risk having a nice £200 paper weight!

me too, build quality for ps2's were shoddy as hell, the ps3 better be built a whole lot better

if you are running V2.0 firmware and still interested in emulators but don't want to downgrade, then there is a loader that will play some emulators, i don't know much about it though, because im using V2.5 and it isn't compatible with it, if you are still interested thogh here is the link:http://www.fanjita.org/ on the menu click eboot loader to get the program, and click on working eboots to see if there are any emulators you want, you can D/L them if they are highlighted in orange. I haven't read anything bad online about using this method but there might still be a chance of this turning your psp into a paper weight so don't blame me if it goes tits up.
