I got the first one last year and around Feb and thought it was Ok (the second not as good but not terrible) this one might make it Ok if we don't hear the same remixes of the same boring trancy tracks we heard last year IMO but any 'happy hardcore' sounding tracks will be welcome al long as the beats sound as if it was made in 1996...

I'm not saying I hated them, I'm just saying I love the old skool beats and think it would be great to see a comeback (which might just be happening) Maybe Sy should do an 'old skool' mix Brisk do a 'Next Gen' mix and Kevin Energy do a dark/ freeform/ hard dance mix to make us all happy...

Evel - sorry to say mate but... IMO, it's very unlikely that a return of bigger kicks and less defined bass lines will happen anytime soon. Although some oldskool sounds are returning this is the one element that isn't.

HH3 : ). Should be good. The first was OK and they really stepped it up for the second so I have high hopes for this one.

wouldn't make me happy, i'd only listen to kev's mix (actually i listen to kev's mix from 1 & 2 like 8 out 10 compared to brisk's disc, sy's a very rarely check out apart from like the day i get it)

If brisk was to do an old bouncy techno set that'd make me very happy cos he's the man

The thing is evel i actually nearly always agree with you i'm much more into the old dutch sounds and nowadays mostly into gabba, hence a big makina/uk hardcore sale coming soon for those interested .

I absolutely loved uk hardcore in early 00's and tbh will still attend the odd rave and dance like a madman whilst enjoying a club with good atmosphere and my mates there. I'm still gonna keep a gd load aswell incase i start enjoying the sound again, it may be a bit weaker but it still sounds bangin when coming out a good rave system.

The thing i dont get is how you think cos you like the dutch stuff your more hardcore than people into the new sounds and have to put them down about it all time. Just cos it's harder music doesnt make us more hardcore at all. Infact i only go raving every month or so and this year with getting a flat may well have to cut down more, but you'll never see me miss a raindance or dancevalley

Still though most people i no into the new uk sound are out ravin seshin it up every weekend, if there was a test of who's hardcore that way i'm a pussy compared to these folks. There's no way there love for what there into is any less than mine and i can see that through there faces when out raving, it is still hardcore and it gives them the same feeling as when i hear a phat dutch kick.

It's all personal tastes and the way i see it jus cos i'm not particularly keen on upfront, theres still plenty brilliant hardcore coming out. Freeform for example is so gd to rave to, at tasty watchin the nu energy pa doing live effects on allsorts of hardware was such a gd experience. I may prefer playin other stuff on the decks but this is incredible music end of story.

Anyhow evel sorry if i sound preachy i've been noticing im doing it a bit recently if you want any help or info on the old dutch sounds, not saying im an expert but i'll help you find more music to suit your tastes.

If enough of us show interest and i'm already seeing it happen we will bring bouncy techno back to the rave scene, not to take over but just to claim it's place it deserves. Variety's the spice of life as they say.

It's a shame that they seem to leave the best bit of Hadcore out these days

See i didnt explain the rule properly, the 2 exceptions to the raindance rule are moondance and slammin.

Had good nights at both these events but more than often have came out thinking "that was pretty average" and that aint how you should feel after a rave .

But yes weekender looks beyond gd i explain everything on that thread.
