Click on the link I gave you mate, that is what techno is --->. Techno is a genre and that is that. The sorta stuff you talk of is happy hardcore and bouncy techno.
My favourite on that page is:
STAY UP FOREVER
Artist TIDDLES & THE GEEZER
Cat SUF075
EP ACID SKA E.P.
A NORTH LONDON SKANK
B YOU ARE A SPNGLE

i don't like to say that i like hardcore as it is too vague a term, i like some some genres in it and dislike some. of course in those sub genres there will always be a couple of songs i like or dislike, just the way it is. i do not like old school though, i dunno what it is but it doesn't pull my strings

who cares if you have liked the music longer?
you think the hardcore gods are going to look favourably on you for your years of faithful service?
everyone needs to stop with the 'i was around back then/i like old school so i'm far greater than you', it is all the same type of music and there are many sub genres in it, some of which people won't like and some people will. listening to a certain style does not make you any better than someone who listens to a different one

Old Skool tested... New Skool approved.
Think that's been said on here but i like the sound of it and it speaks the truth, in my opinion.
Not that i don't like the good ol' days because i do, it just depends on what mood i'm in. For example, one evening i may wanna listen to Re-Con or a bit of Neophyte, and another evening Slimatt and Vibes!
40% of the time i'm wanting to listen to happy hardcore nowadays.
