Not sure what the Hardcore scenes are like in Canada, the USA and Britain. But in Australia it seems to be really taking off big time. Sydney seems to be the city thats it's happening the most. Check this for a line up on the two next parties in Sydney. Prophecy and Hyperspeed Gold between them have secured Brisk, Hixxy, Re-con, Styles, Impact, Euphony, Styles, Unkown, Uplift, Nemisis, A.M.S and Dair (Perth), as well as Mcs Storm and Mc Whizzkid. It's also rumoured that DJs Storm and Stompy might be settling in Australia which if true would be another great boost to the Australian Hardcore scene alongside our locals Weaver, Suae and Haze etc. Just hope things continue like this (touch wood;) and don't have another down turn like 99, 2000. Must be the weather and girls bringing them here:)

At the moment, the UK is by far the biggest and best producer of hardcore. BUT times change, and there is absolutely no doubt in my mind that in another ten years, either Australia or the USA will take over that role from the UK.

wow! i never knew it was THAT significant. i only know of a few aussie dj's and they ware pretty much the popular ones. ie. weaver, suae, team rocket, matrix, fenix and haze. and most of them are dj's not producers. (weaver and suae are tops!)

Hahahaha.
We are not the biggest, I dare we are not the best, but we do well for our size. I dont think I saw an Aussie track on Bonkers 15.
As for Australia liking freeform over UK Hardcore, I have no idea what events you've been to, but this isn't true for Sydney. Freeform is almost dead here. They only time we hear freeform here is when the NEC comes over to rock our shores. Oh, and Alek Szahala did a great job of keeping us stomping at Godspeed darkside.
Nice to see that up and coming producers don't get mentioned too

I think the aussie scene sounds excellent whenever i see the lineups i love the variety. In the same arena on the same night you can have old scottish/dutch stuff like ultrasonic, dyewitness etc, a trance/hard dance dj, freeform, uk hardcore and the local up n comings.
I find most aussies really laid back and easy to get on with aswell, good sense of humour and love a party. People may think it's bigger and betyter in the uk but i'd just be proud to be different.
Anyway uk's not biggest place for hardcore unless people are just talking about happy stuff, holland is the place to be and has been for 10 years probably now.
