This is annoying me why can’t the record labels manage to release the tunes that everyone wants to buy.

I have been searching the shops on line for vinyl and MP3 downloads but they only seam to release tracks that were popular over a year ago in some cases longer but are able to release tracks no one has ever heard of and I have never heard played live with remixes by people like breeze and styles.

I personally think this is bad for Hardcore in general and think it is only done for one of 2 reasons.

1- They want people to go to raves to listen to them

2 -To make people buy compilations with the tracks on

Please all Hardcore Labels Sort it out!!!!!

Examples

Tantric – Out on Bonkers 12 never (in my knowledge released)
You’re my Angel – Played as 1st track of 06 at Slammin’ played long before that just released a year later
Sound Without a Name – On Clubland Xtreame Hardcore last summer still big at raves not released yet

…. And many more

It can be annoying sometimes. Especially if they stall the release so long that the track has a watered down kind of over played effect. United Dance - Still The One springs to mind...

it's so easy to slate the labels that are responsible for doing this, but have you ever taken into account any of the numerous problems that plague running a label, especially ones that try to not only release good music, but also release good music that appeals to the general consensus - this is EXTREMELY difficult to achieve!

It is clear you are referring only to Raver Baby with your examples, and to some extent i do agree with you that they take a while to release tunes, but these 'delays' are usually always down to the same reasons in most cases...distribution issues, and of course, actually having the funds to release these tunes to the public.

LOL, even DJ's have mortgages to pay etc - maybe that's where the money Hixxy makes goes....life isn't easy...

I do, however, agree that Raver Baby would benefit quite substantially from releasing their material; new, old and unreleased, in MP3 format, but then the age old problem of file-sharing still exists so, yes, they would probably make a lot of money, but also lose a lot at the same time....

if they released their stuff on mp3 i think the vinyl side would go down the pan, which is probably one of or the reason they havnt done it

this was my main argument to why CDJs can be a bad thing. dont get me wrong, they can be a good thing too and dub-plates can create similar problems (DJs Unite Vol 1 - Hixxy Remix / Sound Assassins - Sharkey anyone?).

just the way it is. if they're available by MP3 download then im sure its better than nothing isnt it?

I didnt realise that all the examples I gave were raver baby but im sure others do this too.

But also surly selling records makes money so sell the records everyone wants more money. Not wait till everyone is sick of heaing the same tune and now wants the new big tune therefore they will make less moeny.

It makes sense to me but I could be wrong????

I read a complaint on another site today that they couldnt get tracks just 1-2 months old on vinyl..maybe the big labels are playing it to safe?
there for less profit, less releases

Raverbaby are really slow on releases, I can understand why they don't release the tunes straight away but waiting 2 years is getting a little long and by the time the track comes out it has been heard by too many people on the albums and no really a power track for your DJ set anymore.
