anyone know where i can get a decent stand? must be able to fit my techs and 600. ive got a budget of £150 (and i dont really want to spend it on ebay cause they are made of mdf!)

diy! with a budget of £150 you could build an exquisite stand to suite your needs. make spaces for amp(s), records, cds, cords, etc. then you could buy foam and make everything fit like a glove.

What are you using it for? Do you need to fit lighting? If so:

6' Deck + Lighting Stand G54 Goal Post on that page is in ya budget. Should fit ya stuff but don't take my word check the nec. measurements ; ). It can seem a lil wobly but is very secure with all ya gear on it, just dont go mad with real heavy lights. if your not wanting to fork out for truss and a separate table it will do the job.
Dont know how much the postage is... just new it was on this site cus he's a guy down the road from me.
If ya just lookin for a desk just buy one at a furniture store no need to pay more for one thats "designed" for mixing.

i havnt got the tools for woodwork, only mechanical stuff. its to put in my bedroom cause im not allowed to use the dining room table anymore lol.
