What hardcore do you like more? old school stuff or the newer stuff such as Breeze and Styles era

I personally love the old school because of the enique style in which the songs are in. i cant explain it well right now but i love the old skool sound of hhc <3

Old skool Hardcore from 1995/1996 coz of the really hard beats, although I like some Freeform now, some of it also has hard beats (Sharkey's mix, Bonkers 10) but not as much as the old skool stuff

Oh, and welcome to the site

The old stuff has an uncomparable feeling, which I don't find in any new stuff (though recently some of the new stuff brought back some of this feeling like Seduction mix on Hardcore Nation 2). But the new stuff is much more quality in sounding, I especially thinking about NextGen releases. As a whole I prefer the new stuff, because it's evolving and that's very important.

depends what you call old school i suppose. i'd say anything up to 93 when everything became more diverse. the only trouble with dj's playing old school sets is that they tend to be quite predictable; ratpack are the worst offenders for this IMO. the new hardcore stuff is amazing, i didnt think anything could top the helter skelter 96 sound, but uproar is just as good!

Not all the beats were hard, but there are some tracks which you can't call soft though IMO
