What question, your post didnt have any question marks. But if your question was, that why, when a producer makes a cover of a track, they used the lyrics of said track? Then uhm, the answer would be, because its a cover of that track ...or am i missing something?
Because the original 1999 version did not have any lyrics, in it.
whats up isn't a direct cover, i thought all of you knew that, if you listen to the original 1999 trance version, you will find this.
Whats up is not a cover, becaus it has lyrics added to it, i presumed that would be obvious to anyone who has listened to the original.
As a few people here have already mentioned that they have, i thought it would be obvious to them to.
Please just listen to the original guys then you will see that i'm right.
=======================
My original question was this:
Why did'nt thay just make a stright instrumental real cover of the
original (which did'nt have vocals in it) instrumental hardcore track, with
orchestral build up the original had, and everything.

Blackcrow man, you're not making much sense.
Lets establish the facts.
1. 4 Non blondes did an original tune called 'whats up'. This was a big hit in 1993 and a year later, DJ Miko remixed the track as a dance song, and it became a hit again, on radio and in clubs.
2. The Organ donors ripped the vocal and got their hardstyle version released on Nukleuz as 'DJ Destiny vs Organ Donors - What's Up?'
3. It got the remix treatment, getting a trance remix, a 'midnight' mix, a Dougal & Gammer remix (which is awesome and has been canned ) and an 'original hardcore' mix. This 4 tracker was released seperate release on Nukleuz.
What are you asking?

I know exactly what you were talking about Blackcrow.
Gammer has already spoken of the similarities between the remix and the tune you were hinting at.
I still can't see why it bothers you so much though - it wasn't meant to be a remix of 'Out of the blue'.

I love that tune, i'd like Whats Up alot more if it was a remix of Out Of the Blue.
If it Really isn't really a remix of "out of the Blue", then somebody needs to get on it prety damn fast, because that would sound awsome.
I have a dodgy copy of it on a Ministry Of Sound 99 tape pack, along with pete heller and Masters At Work.
It bothers me, because if i ran "Whats Up" thru a Out Of Phase Karaoke Filter,
it Would be "out of the blue".
Lets face all these guys have done is played and accapella over a instrumental track and called it their own.

The organ donors mix stirred up that inspiration for me.
"heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeey whats going on"
What do you mean, you stole the strings.
Your not gammer, are you.
I mean your not "the gammer" are you, because i had this problem with "Jakazid".
If you are gammer, and your wrote said track, i wasn't dissing it.
I had a simmilar problem with spinback, storm, frisky, hardcore hippies, Devastate, Sy, ufo, hixxy, not to mention breeze.
Please stop stealling artists names and using them as your own.
Gammer, you will never be Gammer, so dont even try.

Ok, i can see you're not going to budge.
BUT, before i go....
Using a particular tune for inspiration and taking a part of it (then re-arranging and adding to it) is quite a bit different to ripping off a whole tune
and sticking an acapella over the top (which is what you're suggesting).
Yes, it's clear what it sounds like - that's never been disputed. Still nowhere near a rip of the whole tune though whatever you say.
Yes, it could have worked as a remix of the original tune - but it isn't.
Gammer said he took inspiration from the DJ Destiny original. You heard it?
Nothing wrong with sounding similar to another tune - especially when it has a distinctive sound of it's own.
Not going to let it ruin my life!

Don't go making a fool of yourself.

Okay thats fine, i'm sorry, i wasn't trying to be sarky or rude.
Sometimes i will genuinely beleive, that one of the stars in on this board, and I guess i'm a bit gullable at times, but then it could happen, but most likely not.
I did'nt mean for my thread, yet again to turn epic-long, i guess it takes some time for all of us figureing out where we are all coming from.

says it's the real gammer.
Anyone with one of these artists badges is the confirmed real artist so you know no one is screwing around.
On topic, ryg0r got it correct when he said:

But then it get really confusing when you consider the fact that the artist gammer on this forum, might have stolen The other Gammers name.
Are you The Silver then?
Did you mix Hardcore Tsunami 1,2, and three.

Silver is the silver who mixed the hardcore tunez/Tsunami series, he also owns this site. Someone can only get an artist badge under their name if they are "THE" artist in question. I don't see why it's so hard to believe a hardcore artist would post on a hardcore forum...?

Ffs this thread is getting seriously funny now. I am rolling on the floor laughing at how gullible and starstruck you are!
So who did you think you were arranging to meet up with at Slammin Vinyl last October?
DJ Silver who was coming over from Tokoyo specifically to play at the event and pick up an award for best website or some wannabe?
