Fair enough... just seemed like you were having a bit of a pop at people with no reason to do so, it really gets my goat when people use the term "pillhead" as if anyone who does MDMA is some kind of scum that should live out their life in shame. Also to be a "pillhead" surely you would have to do pills on a very regular basis, I mean how often do you have to drink to be labelled a "pisshead" you have to be an alcoholic really don’t you? Also calling people dumb is just pretty harsh even if they are! I won't comment on chav, the word seems to have lost any meaning whatsoever. I'm not just being a cu*t I just feel strongly on the matter and I will refer you back to the last paragraph on your first post ; ) Not trying to upset anyone just putting in my view.
Anyway... There are obviously a couple of very undesirable dicks about mugging people and starting random fights but they’re in the minority in my experience. What exactly have you seen on the videos that is bad? I’ve watched loads of rave videos (not from the last 2 or so years mind) and never seen anything bad in them at all; I've seen trouble while at the events but never on a video.

There aint no trouble their n everybody is sound therefore every1 has a mint time! i dont have n e thin agaist ppl hu take pills as most of my m8s do ( i dont)

I didn't menton anything about ravers making trouble, because they don't. It's just i would rather not be heard to be spending my nights with 'pill heads' hepped up on goofballs. I don't know, you don't know, it's abusing your body in a way in which you don't know the full extent of damage it will lead to. Same with booze and fags really but mehhhh. But no, i didn't mean that people who take pills are stupid, you take them and you sound pretty smart to me, you put up a damn good argument! When you said that i don't think you belong in the scene that's totally wrong, i do think you belong in the scene, anyone belongs in this scene, it's just the majority tend to be how i described when i first posted this topic.
And don't beat yourself up about it, don't be offended dude, it's your choice of life and if you're happy then i should just shut the hell up...

Why?
The general public aren't sure about the atmosphere of hardcore raves, they think it's all just bang bang bang and drugs. If they did actually know people where taking pills there well, that just prooves their theory and makes me look like a drug addict.

But you're not a drug addict, why do you care what the 'public' think, if they're narrowminded enough to think that, then who cares what they think? Hardcore is about not giving a **** and having a good time nomatter what people think, the way things are going it will be a club scene soon, dress codes and trendys galore... once the pills and the acceptance disapears, so will the atmosphere.
I've only been to local events so I can't speak for everywhere, but the majority of people I know who go to raves take pills, and would have it no other way...
When promoters start changing events to suit the mainstream(dress code, crack down on drugs etc) is the time that the vibe will flop...

Watched a really interesting show about this sorta thing the other week, about how society always worries about the new trends then theres nothing really to worry about.
First the mods/rockers got called druggies and hooligans, then the hippies, then the punks and for the last 17 years it's been ravers. Just the papers and people like something to talk about and look down on

yea theres nufin wrong with doin pills at a rave you get more out of the energy you have when your on drugs the last rave i went to i was doing fet n i raved my socks of but the comedown was hurredous (smoke bud on ya comedown) and i always para when i do pills but i'm fine when it kicks in doin drugs at a rave just makes it way more of a rush.

The reason i say this is because a few times now with people off here and various other places i've took people i like out raving for there first time. Sometimes they've absolutely loved it as you and your mates seem to have done, but other times they've been really paranoid and intimidated most probably from the same things you pointed out.
Infact when i first started raving i used to always para out for the first while and i'd want to go home, then my mates would have to persuade me to stay, i'd then finally get comfortable and have the time of my life and spend the next month talking about how good it was. Now in raves feels like a second home to me but i've new a few people who just found it too much.
@jenks thankfully dresscodes and trendies etc will never take over the hardcore, the clubby stuff is bringing in a few annoying types but also a lotta sound new people who're a pleasure to rave with. Had a conversation with a few people about this at the weekend and i believe that commercialising hardcore is doing a lot more good than harm, if the happy rooms pissin you off check out the techno/gabba room for real rave atmosphere.
