Iv always thought with Scott Browns CD's on bonkers that the first 10 / 11 tracks are good, feel good (and slightly dark) tracks but after that I cant stand all that hangin gabber stuff. That aint even music!

ur crazy. his gabber tracks are perhaps too soft for gabber. gabber can go completely insane compared to scotts listenable gabber tracks. not that im dissin it though.

that really pisses me off when people say that, who the f**k makes you in charge of whats music.

Uk hardcores prety much all weak "lalanana" gay sounding ********, pulling off the same old corny lines about angels, flying to the sky etc for over 10 years. Most the big lables stick to there own tried and tested formula and dont really hear much new and creative stuff except for hard freeform and breaks where theres a lot of innovation.

I could say uk hardcores not music but some is still really good so i wouldnt say that, gabbers a class worldwide culture with a lot of variety.

not music hahahahahahahahahahahahaha doubt it

Gabbers the best kind of music!! I've just got Bonkers 15 and that Scott Brown / Neophyte was the 1st mix I listened to, some of the beats are unreal.

I was liking Scott's "Fasten Ya Seatbelt" tune, I'm definately buying that with my next batch of tuneage!!

i supose we all have to ask ourselves what it is we like to hear from scott brown. some people like his uplifting or slightly dark tracks, and some people like his gabber tracks. either way its all good. this is the first time i have said this, but maybe it is good that he is doing gabber. if gabber is such a big worldwide music, then it is quite clever of him to expose it further. i believe that scott brown just likes to vary what he is mixing, and its obvious that he has something for gabber. full respect to him though (even though i aint to keen on the gabber sound myself)

In my opinion Scott Brown's (and Neophyte's) mix from B15: Best
never stops amazing me :p
Liking Gabbers the most, happy stuff abit boring atm.

Fasten Ya Seatbelt can be found on Hardwired II CD2, unmixed quality stuff

scott brown's finest stuff IN MY OPINION is the sort of very light gabber (if it can be called that) such as 'this one's for all of us' and 'you have to let it all go.

there is the lighter/happier hardcore which can be found on hardwired and earleir bonkers were as bonkers 15 mix is the other extreme, feel songs similiar to them mentioned above is the happy medium what i love

would like see a good mix on bonkers 16 rather than commitent to one sub-genre of hardcore

It isn't a sub-genre of hardcore everybody. It is hardcore. It has been around and might even pre-date our modern conception of UK hardcore.

Then again, its all hardcore.

And Scott Brown isn't opening up Gabber or Dutch Hardcore to the rest of the world...

His Gabber isn't my favorite (I prefer Neophyte's), but I think A Few Moments was incredible.

Was it ever released?

quoted for truth

people in britain go on as if our scenes the be all and end all of hardcore, as if other countries are just a shadow in the background wishing they could have a scene like ours . Is a joke i've went and seen it for myself and the raves in europe make things like slammin look tiny, better sound quality and better sweets. The extra money in the gabber scene also means the shows that can be put on are a lot more impressive than a couple of dancers and a mc. Think live lesbian sex shows and full on kickboxing rings, i've even heard about holigrams which must be quality when raving.

Gabbers bigger than happy/uk hardcore is or ever has been or ever will be. Fact

I like a variety of diff genres and dj loadsa styles from the cheesiest to the hardest. It's all got it's place but people thinking gabbers a few tunes you get at the end of a scott brown mix just aint the way it is.
