In my school people get egged and floured on their birthday. I never got battered on birthday because its in the summer holidays.

One time, an Asian lad spat in this girls face and absolutely twatted the shit out of her on her birthday. So nearly everyone in my year (even the girls) give him the beating of his life. He came out with a broken nose, purple eyes and a few teeth missing. That'll last him a few birthdays.

It sure was Kemp-Welch which changed it's name to Rossmore Comminuty College in 2001 (those were dark times for both hardcore and my school) but then again Poole is very soft compared to Manchester, what with the likes of it's gun crime and the 'Gooch' close gang who have read about...

Man, that made me laugh.

Glasgow is the scariest place I've ever been to in my life - only been twice, once I witnessed a guy gettin the utter-shit kicked out of him and the other I saw a guy get hacked with a machete then set about by a dog.

I grew up in Glenrothes in Fife, in the most jakey housing estate there - Macedonia. But we never had 'beats' - maybe a fight after school every day but we didn't hit eachother on our birthdays.

Maybe Maci wasn't such a bad place after all, although I'm still releived my mom is gettin outta the ghetto in the next few days.

thats wkd mate sounds like a lot of things are sorting themselves out for you, in the time i've known you off here you've been a major hard worker so glad to hear it's paying off.

Lol glasgow aint that bad really well it can be but it's not all the time, depends where you go and the company you keep like anywhere. Is a big city with a lot to it, i had my share of bad times but kinda brought on myself as much as anything else.

You went to the bttf rave at gorbals wasnt it lol, no wonder you think its mad. I had some good times there but bttf crowd does tend to be quite rough. I strongly recommend you try twisted you'll have a better opinion of the city after been treated to the gabber room hospitality.

U off the Chapsworth estate?? lol Shameless anyone??

Anyone know where shameless is filmed? I thought it was around Collyhurst or Cheetam Hill but I have been out of Manchester for a long time now and it has changed a lot. I was brought up in Moston, North Manchester. Went out with lad from Heaton Chapel when I was young so used to go up to Stockport a lot.

We used to call it the 'bumps', we used to all grab one of their limbs, throw them up in the air and kick them on their way down, one for each year and one for good luck :) One of my mates from years back had to go to hospital the following night and ended up on some really strong painkillers for his back :s

cheers, i'll give it a try some time - just finding it hard to motivate mates into going to events these days as the troops are rapidly dispersing. I remember there used to be like 10 of us on a normal night out, now it's like 3-4.

and yeah, the beating was at bttf and the slashing was at Bonkers Live.
