I love the old cheese in small doses, especially the happy gabba is like energy cheese.
Too much gives me a sore head though and most happy hardcore and the new stuff just does my head in.
Got far too much cheese in my record box but slowly turning it around.

(but keep in mind that this is Dutch Hardcore I'm talking about)
Sam in the Uk. Most people think that Hardcore is a 'new' thing and Djs are 20 year old models who rap over their music! Wrong I know but I might be only 18 but am are of how Hardcore was in the late 80s early 90s and love learning more about the old skool roots. I don't know who first called it Hardcore but since 2004 I have been a beliver of such music, maybe I like the stuff from the past Generation than the one i'm in (People think this is the Clubland/ Raverbaby generation) but I always have respect for these older Generations who are by far, more experinced in Hardcore than I am

thats really strange whenever i tell people i dj hardcore, the usual response is hardcores dead and has been for over 10 years. Either that or they just dont care and think its a lot of shit.
Did you lot not have a rave scene in dorset or something?
I think mibbe kids think its a new thing cos they wouldnt have heard anything about it in the quiet patch, now theres a couple of adverts on telly and probs a couple lads dj it at there school or whatever.
But i think most people see it as something from the past and tbh wouldnt think a lot of the new stuff was hardcore if they heard it, they'd just think it was dance but even cheesier

I just had to respond to this Baldo - F*ck sh*t no rave scene in Dorset! Dorset and Hampshire have always been held up as places to be for raves and a lot of major events have happened here in the past and still happen to this day.
Smoogie wants to get out more. If he actually talked to people outside of his age range he might find there is a thriving scene in our area and most weekends I am out and about at an event or party or generally mouching with my "raving" friends who don't just think it was invented last week!

In that case there's one in warrington too hehe :D I wish I cud go to more myself but transport a ****er, i better start driving, trains and loungin about waiting for the morning trains just crap.
I agree to what smoogie said because a lot of people around my age do that and don't have a clue what hardcore is unless they know where raves are or use the internet like us, Every person I know in my area aint got a clue apart from about 2 of my mates but thats just my age range. I have older mates who know there shit thats why i tend to stick with them. I think more younger people are listening to hardcore now because it has gone more trance based (2004 onwards mainly) more n more people seemed to know what bonkers was I sometimes hear hardcore tunes being played wigan pier, maximes shit like that. I guess that's why more younger peeps are turning up without a clue about the earlier days. Just sucks if u ask me
