definitely music producers dont care where a sound comes from, if it's good they'll use it so everywheres influenced by each other in that way. Again i'd say the happy stuff that came out of holland (pengo's, babybooms etc) was better than any happy hardcore from over here ever has been.
But thats just opinion but over the years both styles have took influence from each other and many other genres aswell.

nah, but stop the whole gabberhating thing cuz you have absolutely NO idea what is all under the term "Gabber" (as ppl outside belgium, france, holland and germany use it).
You think it's all the same? dude, are you kidding me? of all newskool happycore I can't remember what is what cuz it's all got the seem samples and themes to it and you call gabber all the same?
look, out here, gabber even has a multitude of substyles, all different in their own way but indeed to mainstream bitches like yourself and all those other boyband lovers out there it indeed sounds the same because you simply can't apreciate the beauty of a distorted kick, a darker atmosphere or an alternate kind of energy of which gabbe is thoroughly infused.
open your mind, dig into the substyles and perhaps you'll be abkle to find something you might like but before you've done that I don't wanna hear another ****ing negative thing about gabber from you.
[end of line]

it does take some adjustment to get to the stage of actually liking Gabber for most people in the UK. I have been truly into Hardcore for three years, but at the beginning i bought Bonkers X, and wouldn't listen to the likes of Life or Death or Earthquake. Every time it came on i said to myself "what the hell is this shit!?" and turned it off. It's only really been in the past year or so that i really am getting into Gabber. I have gone back through my Bonkers CDs and now i LOVE the likes of Dedicated, Self Destruction, Alles Kapot, Prophecy Unfolds, Rock the Part-E etc... It's all fantastic to me.
And then i see my little bro (14) and he's started to listen to my Clubland X-treme Hardcore and Hardcore Heaven 2 etc, and he hears the Gabber i listen to and says "what the f*ck is that you're listening to!? it's just thudding"
and i look at him, look back at what i was like, and just laugh to myself
it's not our fault that us Brits take a while to adapt to the Harder sounds!
(p.s. this doesn't apply to all of us, some just listen and love just like that)

Aye i think it is like that for most of uk but go to scottish raves and loadsa gabber will be played and everyone goes nuts for it.
Must just be what you get into when you start listening to hardcore, then it takes a while to like everything else. I've definitely been like that with breaks and freeform.
Used to fast forward anything that was breakbeat when i was younger now i love it, so i think you just need to go out and hear things in raves.
I used to love makina and now hate 95% of it, and loadsa other vinyl i've bought i dont like anymore.
Just the way things happen i definitely couldnt say i'll still like what i'm into now forever. Just gonna see what happens and keep enjoying going out

Do any of U gabbers?
Don't think you have to be gabber to enjoy Dark Hardcore, whether it's UK, Dutch or italian or even Australian...
Don't know if Black magic bad magic can be considered Dark Hardcore...
We call it DARKCORE
And that is sometimes just heaven on vinyl...
In a Dark mood, some absinthe next to my decks, some candles burning and some darkcore playing on my speakers...

other than all the substyles of gabber (like darkcore, cenobite-style trancecore, speedcore, terror, doomcore, etc) I also like oldskool happycore (duh!), powernoize, rythmic noize, EBM, Darkwave, acid, drum n bass, drill n bass, digital hardcore, breakcore, metal, industrial, oi!, soundscape, some IDM, some hardtek, breakbeat, some dark triphop, dark electro, darksynth and some stuff I don't really know the style of :)
and as far as I know there isn't anything dark about "black magic, bad magic" :s
