Why? Because remixing a track just for the records makes it Commercial. Every one knows what commercialising does to Hardcore

We here in Holland have got DJ Darkraver. For those of you that might know him, he was indeed one of the most respected hardcore DJ in Holland, because for us he was the first "dark" DJ good enough to spin records. I've listend with great pleasure to his mixes.

But now... He's pretty much an has been. Not because he's not good any more, but because he has mixed OLDSKOOL hardcore only to hit the charts of the Breezah (skihut) people

It's so very very wrong....

Commercialising is not good at all....

totally agree why don't he go back to the time that he made tracks like intellegent hardcore. but his mixing @ liberation and thunderdome still rock asses :D btw not quite sure but steve went to jump scene right? well he aint darkraver 4 nothing let the dark come back to holland :D

Loads of Old Skool Hardcore made it onto TOTP in the early 90's - he'll have meant that.

2 Unlimited did some cool chart stuff in the early-mid 90s but they wern't Hardcore. No limit is a classic which got me liking that techno sound when I was just 6!

2 Unlimited were Hardcore oldskool to the Netherlands. They were to first to break through internationally, and their music was quite "hard" at the time.
They made way for hardcore to flourish here.

Well, He rocked at Sensation 2004 too :) His set was HARDCORE to da Bone...

Jumpstyle??

Try APRESKI-style... It sucks, making hardcore fanatics look bad...
didn't you here the Apreski remix of "Komtie dan?" It makes me puke...

I spit on him ... He's lost my respect...
Going from HArdcore to Hardstyle I can imagion due to the Neo's in the scene... but from Hardcore to Aspreski is like going from sky diving to snail racing

fairenuff we all want hardcore to not become too commercial and keep it within our greedy mits which i agree wit
But the dj's are hardly being 'unfaithfull' to hardcore if they make commercial mixes its down to them, u reckon hardcore dj's off hhc.com if offerd a large amount of money to do a commercial track wouldnt accept it? you might say you wouldnt but you probz would if it meant your bank account would look that whole lot better!

Yeah, sure I can agree to that...

Make a commercial track, send it to the top of what ever track....

JUST DON'T TOUCH THE OLDSKOOL! unless it's really good, which most often isn't the case and hardcore fan are usually dissappointed by them...

Besides "faithfull" seems to be "out" everywhere...
But going from Hardcore to Apreski is just.... not done in my eyes...

Do you UK people know what Apres ski is? It's hard to explain...

Not sure im not really bothered if tunes get commercialised even the classics, kind of getting used to it now... Atleast "most of us" know where it's origin is, I would hate to see smooges asleep or the (again) version get ripped tho!! with you on that one mate. That tune is too good for commercial
