The sounds from the Hardcore era 90-98 are awsome. I'm talking about the Dutch scene and breakbeats UK scene.

In 98 Hardcore scene (oldskool) collapsed and only the die hard fans gathered at raves.

Today I don't like the Dutch scene as I used to. In stead I look more to Italian Hardcore and Scott brown. They still have the oldskool sounds a bit.

The UK scene is nice it also reminds of the old days where you could sing along with lyrics...
To bad these days are over in Holland

everything in moderation is good. you can't beat the original tunes as they hold alot of memories for people, but things have to progress, if the hardcore scene had not progressed into changing its style then where would we be now, possibly without raves as yes people would have got bored! I will never get rid of my old records which date back as far as 91, 92 as like I said ..... memories. and who knows maybe one day when I am old and grey they will be worth more money!! and this does not stop me from enjoying the new stuff and buying the new tunes as they are also very good, its just not as ruff n ready like it used to be.... as they used to say at world dance...... forwards ever....backwards never!!!

What are your views on the state of the whole Hardcore scene at the moment and how do you see it changing over the next few years, and what do you think of Happy Hardcore?
The state of the scene in the UK is this (and has been this for a couple of years) Happy Hardcore music is **** all to do with what our scene is about, it's a farce , a joke that has gone on far too long and should be stopped now. The music is only one step away from AQUA / 2 UNLIMITED and what most of the producers want is chart recognition so they can go out and buy a bigger gold bracelet/car. Any older crowds have long since lost interest and quit going out, hopefully thanks to people trying to do something different (RAMOS, SHARKEY, BUNTER) there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I'm not saying the whole scene should be Techno, far from it. But it definitely should be less Happy shite and more Hardcore(in what ever form).

At the end of the day, I spent a lot of time last year worrying about what other people were doing and it ****ed my head up, so this year **** em' all... . I'm just gonna' concentrate on what I believe in and let nature let run its course.

guys a legend and i totally agree

old days music is better for me even though i was too young to rave back then, not saying good tunes dont still get made but since 96 too much has just been really shit

I agree with it all. Although 2unlimited are the reason I like Techno and Auqa are cool but lets have less chart pop music with Hardcore remixes
