Well, Raver Baby are the number #1 hardcore label for a reason.
I have been vigourously studying their production, pulling apart each layer from their tracks, and why they are very simple, they are exactly what the ravers want/enjoy.
Don't get me wrong, I love the awesome production that is featured on many RFU Records, but the simplicity, predictability and general raw-make-you-wanna-dance -awesomeness of RBC material is what puts them on top.
Of course, that doesnt mean that the people behind RBC are/aren't jerks, thats a whole different issue, but they do well. For that, I (as a producer) must learn, and pull apart to find the secret of their success.
Dain-Ja, you are on the money :) With out powers combined, we are Captain Forum!

I think anyone who wants to slag raver baby is poor form to say the least. Raver Baby is not only the best UK hardcore label. It the best hardcore label in the world including the Dutch scene in my opinion. Productions are first class. Will be a label that's rememered like the legendry Pengo if it ever ceases. All the releases will be very expensive when deleted I'm sure. Just like Pengos are now.

Thats what I meant. I don't see much difference between Raverbaby and All around the world except for speed and the track goes on a bit longer. Thats all though.

ahah, Power Rangers COMBINE!
I agree, their production is "simple" compared to other labels
but sometimes making something "simple" really well can be much better than something complex
their stuff flows, and most if not all is solid stuff.
And really, all the "anthems" are "simple"
think about it...shooting star, etc. are all "simple" tracks
I think Vagabond's tracks are sick...but they're too "complex" to be anthems IMO
tracks become anthems when they're easy to sing in your head and the melody is simple enough to remember and haunt you
so... RB understand that? lol
