I have respect to all MCs that MC, it's a hard thing to do, not just anyone can do it but I personally would prefer it if most MC's didn't MC. A lot tend to ruin what the rave is all about... the music. Although some can be OK.

Storm, Whizzkid, Sharkey and a mate of mine who won the Hardcore Heaven Weekender MC Comp, MC Stratton, are the only ones I've seen that I can handle.

They can lift the atmosphere if they're well educated and know their tunes.

Can be quality to hear them sometimes but you always get your MC's that wanna be the frontman, thinking he's the star of the show. Then they start MCing over vocals and breakdowns etc, just killings the atmosphere that a producer has spent hours in the studio perfecting, just frustrates me.

All a matter of opinion really.

You win some you lose some.

Really spoils the music i think, and if no MC's where in hardcore i think the chav popularity in hardcore would go way down. Don't mind it now and again like in tracks such as Power & the glory and Dark like vader, just at events, it really spoils an actually decent piece of music.

i think the balance is just about right.
MC's on mix cds would be rubbish, but raves are good. although storm annoys me :(

Good MC's make live sets work really well.

Bad MC's ruin everything - and there are an awful lot of rubbish MC's

Just think about how long MCs have been a part of the rave scene though. A lot of ****ing years. I feel MCs belong at raves and on tunes. That is all.

MC's are needed at raves, mc's add a bit of realness to the music and a focal point at raves. No more mc's mean no more focal point and (eventually) no more scene.

Nuff said.
