well all the tunes i seem 2 hear these days are the newer stuff. in all of the live events they dont seem 2 dig out any old clasics. they seem 2 jus play the same tunes every year. not knocking i like because the tunes are class, but i like a bit of variation at times.

I would hardy class 5 of the most over played tracks ever as variety Fair enough it'd be good to hear more happy hardcore tunes at hardcore parties but I'd rather hear the stuff you don't hear on every happy hardcore cd and in every happy hardcore set that is played.

just well im here, does anyone know where i can get hold of "kick it"? my mate did have it but then he sold it without me knowing n i was gutted. class tune and i despreratly want another coppy, although apparently its hard to get hold of

Kick it is on both The Ultimate Happy Hardcore Album and Bonekrs 7 (Sy's mix) Some of those classics are great like Shooting Star but Set you free is just boring now!

Old stuff is good, and is awesome to listen to when the moods right

New stuff is awesome and is good to listen to when the moods right... yes the hardcore scene is changing, but then so are most music scenes

How boring would it be if we're all still listening to the classics constantly? everyone would know the songs (which isnt necessarily bad) but there would be no progression, and people would leave the scene because there is nothing new and would be quickly bored by the scene... so either way, the producers get slammed for being progressive and changing the sound of the scene, but crowds would vote with their feet if they stay complacent.

i see what you mean, but it would be a variety because the other djs would play the newer stuff. i just feel that some of the older stuff is fogoton completly sometimes, along with some of the older names in hardcore. i know times move on, but no need to foget the past totatly, which is what alot of people seem to do these days. infact, most people my age dont have a clue about oldskool or even happy hardcore.

then why don't you throw your own events with people player older stuff?

there are events that play old skool, just not many that are playing mid 90s - 2000 hardcore.

There is a new updated version of Shooting Star with extra lyrics that weren't on the original, I can't quite recall what the labels called but it's new.
