No more 'Polished trancy-core' shite that is 'big' at the moment. Think of the New 'Acid' sound mixed with the old 'Bouncy Techno' sounds with a hard drum kick and breaks! I will poruduce under the name of Smoogie and if I do well then I will launch Parkstone records!
dont expect your knowledge to come along fast is my advice.
like everyone says you get out what you put in, i have to admit my laziness has got in the way of me learning faster.
But if it was so easy to make amazing music everyone would do it, be prepared for a lot of years of hard work and being skint.
Yes but I would make music for my own enjoyment, not to fit in with 'The Raverbaby Sound' (softcore)

If you still act like a tit then probably everyone. And when did you "save" hardcore in the first place?

fair enough i'm just sayin it takes years of hard graft to get good enough that other people will want to hear your stuff.
You wont understand as you dont produce but to get good enough to make real bouncy techno, acid lines etc and make them sound good out big speakers you'll need a lot of knowledge and equipment. Equipment costs money, aye people pirate software but you aint gonna be any different to anyone else if thats all you use.
wouldnt surpise me if in your head you think you'd get a copy of reason then in a years time be the new star of electronic music taking the world by storm

defo not saying dont do it, its an amzing hobby
just i didnt realise the amount of effort there is involved as a lot of people dont.
Theres a reason theres very few talented producers, it's feckin hard to get that good.
Not just learning equipment but getting the right ideas and finding the sounds you want to make it work. If you cant find sounds you want have to no how to manipulate other sounds or create your own to get what you want.
However much effort you put in theres always 100x more you could do. Then after that there will still be more to learn.
Too many people use shit equipment, cos its expensive and they'd rather download a software equivalent than get some hardware aswell. It's understandable but earning money for a good setup is so important in being able to create things how you want.
but main thing is like i said before, you get out what you put in.
I just need to put a lot more in

100% agreed i hardly new this music existed until recently , absolutely love it proper partying stuff

each to there own but i think thats terrible aswell, cutting yourself of to so much stuff.
I listen to pretty much anything i can now, lucky enough to study with people who are into allsortsa diff stuff and get to hear what they like. Rock, blues, reggae, hip hop, jazz, garage, classical whatever if it's good i'll play it.
Infact i feckin love my taste in music, not many people would listen to hendrix and zappa then later in day be whackin out the speedcore then havin mates over that mc to grime
Been bang into cheesy rock this weekend , pissed up playin staind, green day and all that. Gotta be done imo but i do listen to some type of hardcore every day, even if it's just an oldschool or bouncy techno set.

i always tell myself i'm gonna stop comin on them cos once i do waste so much time, but always end up back.
aye the place has been pretty boring recently, tbh the trolls entertain me more than anything else half the time.
But i doubt i'll stop using the place cos get a good laugh and met a good few people from here now.

When driving during the day I listen to Classical music on Radio 3, sometimes Classic FM but the adverts piss me off.
....or, when driving in the evenings, Eruption 101.3FM (Hardcore, D&B etc) or a couple of other pirate stations that play 'Dance' music.
A mate of ours has formed a band - http://www.myspace.com/gesekki they had their first gig a week ago and it was brilliant. On the same bill was this lot - http://www.myspace.com/pinkriot1 and they were bloody great. Two different styles of live music and I thoroughly enjoyed both. When we produce music it's not just Hardcore but anything that comes to mind, and we do it 'cos we love it, all music. You won't burn in the fires of Hell if you listen to other stuff and, tbh, it's good to listen to other stuff, even if you think you won't like it.... ....give it a chance, you might be pleasantly surprised. I'm not surprised that people are getting fed up with Hardcore. If that's all you listen to, what do you expect? The Universe is a big place and it's full of different music. Try some. Hardcore will still be here to come back to.... ....in all it's wide range of styles.

I've just got into hardcore, so most the stuff i listen to is new to me. Loving bonkers 3 & 4 (spesh at £8 each! and from hmv). picked up some dub from a mate today, its quite cool as well.

i havnt been into hardcore all that long, and i'm still finding a lot of stuff i like. thats helped by the fact that i listen to other styles of music. like other genres of dance music that dont have the same qualities i like in hardcore, and types of non-dance that do have those qualities.
if u only listen to hardcore, of course ur going to get sick of it. it may be so diverse in how it all sounds, but in the big scheme of things, its all pretty similar.
how can u fully apprecial great hardcore choons if u dont listen to other stuff as well?
its like yin&yang
