Only joking!

Mortis your mix and Ionosphere's fun (Sponge Bob) mix has just re-awaken my love for hardcore!
Ionosphere for the fun sounds and Mortis for his good selection of fresh tunes!
Cheers guys!

I admit, I'm far more into my Drum 'n' Bass nowadays. But that too has suffered an onslaught of shit releases and the cure to this is......

Only buy the good stuff. Vote with your wallet.

However I am aware that not all of you are DJs who purchase vinyl, you may have not much influence on the content of mix CDs or the sets that DJs play. I must say a big well done to Gammer in advance of his reply as he has read everybodys comments and and appears to have taken them on board.

It appears to me, that one problem in hardcore is a split between those have been into hardcore for years and know their stuff, and (I hate referring to the 'Chav' stereotype but.....) those who just want something with a fast beat, a high pitched cheesey synth and females vocals that are not unlike those featured in most pop and rnb tracks, to dance to whilst doing pills or driving round in a Nova with a shitty bodykit on.

(I don't mean to slag off drug use by the way, but if you can't enjoy the music without being ****ed off your face, then something is wrong.)

One thing is producers do have to do, is to pay bills, and will produce tracks that appeal to the masses. Its just a shame that not all these tracks will appeal to everyone.

There, that mix should make everything better.

A fair number of other generally disillusioned types have had their faith renewd by partaking.

So, let this wonderous music be the background to Gammers forthcoming essay and all shall we well once again.

Same. I hate mainstream Uupfront/ Uk Hardcore more than Scouse House. Trance is good in House and Freeform, not on a Clubland Extream Hardcore CD IMO!
