Well, it looks like Arsenal's Champions League dreams are over.

Arsenal played fantastic in the first half but were unlucky to concede two goals in the second half. No trophies for them this season.

I don't think the rain helped matters either. Sounds like there's been some fruity comments from Henry as well, should be some interesting reading in the papers tomorrow!

Still, not a great final. Wanted arsenal to win (although not an arsenal fan), would much rather lehman had stayed on, but did the ref have any choice? At least he didn't let the goal stand and still send him off!

Every person in England should back their british team. As Arsenal lost, Henry will go to Barcalona, they will dominate the world for fourteen or so years and the loss also does not bode well for English football. More reasons to support Arsenal than not.
Heartbreak on a London street...

The main problem I have with this is that there are more French people than British people in the Arsenal team, so I don't think of them as British. Thing is I'm a (half-arsed) Man United fan, and hands up how many non-United fans were happy for us when we won the champions league back in 1999?

obviously the yiddos wouldnt want arsenal to win as thats there euro place, but if there not stopping my team winning anything it's only good for brittish football

Is it just the French you dont like or any team that has more foreign players than home grown?

Personally i like watching Arsenal. Any team with Henry in would be good to watch.

Shame they didnt win last night. Although i do thing if they had won Henry would have been on his way without much thought. No he will at least have something to thing about.

no team is 'english' anymore. united have what, 3-4 english starters in their squad? not exactly alot is it. only way teams now get proper english stars is by either getting them through the youth system or scouting 17-18 year olds in league 1 and 2. it is pretty much stupidity on the over inflated prices of english players (rooney the exception, he was worth that huge sum). look at wrigh-phillips. chelsea paid £24 million and he sits on the bench the whole time, he isn't worth anywhere near that amount, especially when you can get better and established foreign players for a third of the price.

as for last night, well referee was shite (not biased, just plain shite), and we weren't robbed just very unlucky, barca had the majority of the possession and in our last third all the time but didn't have the link man to play the final ball from midfield to strikers. usually it is ronaldinho but arsenal closed him down fantastically well last night, larsson made the difference, damn swedish git!! made it so much worse that we were in the lead for 75 minutes, with the preverbial 'one hand on the trophy'.

ohhh and i'm an arsenal supporter and in '99 i supported united and i supported liverpool in final last year, how can you not support the side from your home country whether the players aren't from their or not?

Doesn't matter, Arsenal still playing as a London based club, many foreigners might play for us but at least they're on these shores. Barca also have 0 English men playing for them, and Arsenal 2 last night so all the more reasons!
