Not sure exactly what you mean, but you can right click & view source. That should open up notepad & have the code for the site for you. I'm sure then you can edit it and upload it to your own space...Is that what you ment?

save a website to paint? not possible. paint only displays image files, and a website is html.
you could just save the website to disk so you can access it online.
ctrl+s

you can save it as a document, but you can only open it in a program that works with html like front page or dreamweaver

Find the "Print Screen" button on your keyboard, then CTRL+V into paint.
Voila!

in internet explorer, "save as" a web "archive single file", its a .mht extention.
basicly takes a snapshot of whatever is loaded in your browser window at the time.
including pictures text flash midi ect
this is about the only thing that explorer has over firefox too

If it's just one page you want then print screen like everyone's said, maybe use F11 to get a bigger screen shot. Easy to paste stuff over it in paint.

I just had a mad idea of using Microsoft word to do it and it (sort of) works!
open word, go to file > open then type in the url (including the http://) and it opens it as a document - you will probably need to fiddle with it (as I did using this thread just to test it) Then simply go to file > save as > word document when you're done. Hope that helps.

http://www.soft14.com/cgi-bin/sw-top.pl?prg=967&link=2&count=1 odd software i found through google, it slaps a masive blue TONEC.COM on the top, but easily corrected with a simple normal screen shot and paste :) aftr its installed, i found u have to run the spider for vb6.0 in the settings untick everything except the top 3 and the bottom one where thumbnails is, just make the folder c:\ , or something thats already there set thumbnail to 1024 wide and id say about 5000-7000 for any given webpage and set count snapshots to 1. then press start :D it will save a jpg in c:\ and viola :D google knows all lol an example, (with the tonec.com removed) http://www.xtarsia.net/temp/HHC.png

you can edit is as far editing an image goes..
im not sure exactly what ur wanting to do..
web pages by their nature are made of lots of small components, and most are dynamic in some way or another.
saving all the seperate files and the page into a here own folder, basicly gives u a rough copy of whats on the server, in the case of php/asp ect u can only edit the resulting ouput, not the original script on the server.
saving an image like the one i just did, gives a "snapshot" image of the entire page, but it doesent have text in text format, if ur wanting to edit the text, then saving every single little file to a folder, and then opening the main page in something like dreamweaver/front page or even notepad is going to be the only way of doing it.
i pressumed by "i want to edit it slightly just be pasting stuff over the top of it"
that an image would be the best way of doing it, as u can litterally just draw all over it :)
paint wont open png files as far as im aware, the software i linked to creates .jpg's though, wich paint will open :)
hope that helps :)
